  • And Washburn isn't a bad program at all. He should be able to contribute and have a legit shot at a D2 national championship.

Yes, They have played KU, K-State and last year they played UNLV. They went to OT against K-State a couple of years ago. Washburn has a very good D2 program.

              • That would be the one and only Ryan Murphy.

The Murph was a great player at Washburn. He had a chance to play at lower D1 schools but choose to play at Washburn.

                  • KSU made a mistake by choosing Donnie Wallace over Murph just because Donnie was taller. Murph had so much more talent and I'll never forget his 22 point effort against KU. And his shot was actually a little off that game. I know he turned down ORU and actually had a chance to transfer to OSU. It's a shame the Europe thing wasn't for him.

                    • He was offered a transfer to OSU. He turned it down citing that he felt like Washburn was family, he felt comfortable, and that they showed loyalty to him. Not a bad reason. I still have a piece of backboard that he broke im HS.
