The only thing I remember him saying was he was talking about all the new recruits being here for the entire summer and would be required to take 6 hours of summer school to get a jump on academics and he also said that the returing players would be here as well, but alluded to the fact that there were not many returning players -- whatever that number turns out to be. He did not name names.

I would think that not participating in workouts means one of two things. Either he has an injury (which we would have heard about by now), or he's done playing with the team. I'd guess that his scholly will be filled by someone that WSU has an immediate need for.

I'm the type that believes you show loyalty to those who are loyal to you. Sometimes to a fault, but I think it speaks to the character of both parties involved.

I think it would be interesting to hear HCGM's ideas on how, as a head coach, you balance doing whats best for the team long term vs. reciprocating a players dedication to the organization.

Case in point: the situation with WP. I have been a WP supporter but at the same time I'm not blind. He just wasn't cutting it in the new system and a change had to be made. Just how difficult would it be to make that decision to let a guy go after 3 years of hard work and dedication? I would imagine it is even more difficult for a coach to let a player go who he had recruited.

I can't quote what coach said, but he mentioned he had an appointment with somebody later in the day regarding an international player. I think if he was referring to Orupke, he would of probably just said that. Sounds to me like he is recruiting another non-US player. For those that heard the broadcast, how did you interpret it?

I heard exactly what you did trop. He'd mentioned Ehimen shortly before or after, so to say "an international player" sure sounds like someone else.
