Even it it is more than a slap of the wrist Roy would probably comment that he wasn't even aware the NCAA was looking into academic misdeeds at UNC. No doubt he will be toally shocked.

The moral of the story is if you are going to cheat, just let your entire school participate in on it -- that way it's not limited to any single sport.

Fake classes and bogus degrees < getting a discount on UnderArmor gear, per the NCAA. Bank on it.

          DIDN'T EVEN GET THE SLAP.

"Infractions panel could not conclude academic violations in North Carolina case"

I honestly can't come up with an expletive to adequately describe my feelings here.

Well now we have a road map on how to help our academically challenged athletes!

Everybody on Twitter including the NCAA itself. Dana O'Neil, Matt Norlander, Pat (can't handle being in front of Lynn Marshall) Forde, Gary Parrish, et al.

Gary Parrish: "Dear boosters: Go pay players and members of the 'general student body,' then use the defense that it didn't benefit only student-athletes."

Wow. This is slightly different from the death penalty that most of the pundits were expecting.

                          And here: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...dal/760924001/

"The panel concluded that while student-athletes and athletics programs may have benefitted from utilizing the courses, the general student body also benefitted," a release from the NCAA said. "Based on both the information available in the record and North Carolina’s support of the courses that were offered as not violating its policies, the panel could not conclude that the university failed to monitor or lacked control over its athletics program."

I'm going to have to stay away from ESPN tonight, because if I see that baby-blue goober grinning on a TV, I'm going to end up throwing a brick through it.

I hope the FBI absolutely hammers the NCAA and some of these blue blood organizations. Can't call them college teams anymore when they aren't required to attend college. This sickens me. Absolutely promotes cheating in college athletics.
