We did. Not even close. It was a good time tonight. Not as many as I anticipated but with the early start time and the rain it was still a good turnout. ADDB President Bardo Mike Aresco Mikaela R from the VB team and the President of the SGA spoke. All said the appropriate things. ADDB said the move to the ACC was most telling in how the people of Wichita has responded so positively to it. The SGA president said she has been working with her counter parts at the other universities and has a good working relationship with them. MR as the Athletic rep said that all the student athletes were excited to be playing in the AAC and against better competition. President Bardo talked about joining the AAC as a conference of like minded universities and wanting to compete at the highest levels and felt the AAC was a perfect fit. AAC commisioner talked about how what a great fit WSU and the AAC is for each other. Talked about the TV and the national vs regional exposure we will be getting to grow our brand. We will reach literally millions of viewers. Talked about our natural rival Tulsa and the step up in competiton. Talked about the Power 6 and what it means and not just how it relates to football. That its not just a slogan but a beginning and a talking point for the media. Liked Wichita and the fact that the community supports the university and other endeavors in Wichita. Very complimentary about WSU and its ongoing relationship with the community. Talked about not only the athletic portion of the AAC but also its commitment to the student athletes and new jprograms within the AAC that will benefit them.
