That is why it important for our bigs to be magnificent. Without them, we are a live by the three team. The post and three combo worked well for us last yr. But we needed Landry to drive to the rim in March. It's his play that give this team an extra dimension. Never-the-less, you may be right for non-con. But by the time conference play roles around, we are going to need a true PG to be dominant in the AAC.
I believe it's a little premature to make a statement about what this next season's dependencies are. After all, we've yet to see any of them on a competive court together. Make no mistake, I'm not convinced we've got the depth at guard we've had in previous years, but we also haven't had an opportunity to see any of the growth from those who return, nor have we seen how the new addition fits in. I'm bummed about Landry's injury, like the rest of you, but believe we can weather the storm and the competition in Maui far "easier" than in years past.

Maybe you can hire 3G for some arithemetic training. He can count to 13.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

But, having a conservative approach to our new conference, I don't suspect we will only lose two games in conference play. I'd be thrilled though. If we let Landry heal slowly, to improve his abilities in March (aka not FVV), then we could lose a few in Maui (when he might not play). That puts added pressure to do better in our new league.
The AAC will be better than last year, before you even account for WSU.
If the Shox lose all 3 games in Maui, simply because Landry is out, then they are not the team we all currently think they are.
Cincinnati lost twice by Dec 10th, 5 times overall, and received a 6 seed last year.
This year, WSU will have a tougher SOS than Cincy did last year.
WSU could lose 10 times by selection sunday and still be dancing.

I would be more patient with you, but you have "troll" in your name. Take your baseless pessimism somewhere else.

In other words FVV was much more vital than Landry.

Not taking anything away from Landry, but this team has more talent overall and FVV was the heart and soul.
Not only that but people seem to forget that when dropped 3 in Orlando we were down not just Fred, but down Fred, Landry, Frankamp (not eligible yet) and Grady (for 1.5 of the games). We had heavy minutes from a true freshman 3 games into the year and a walk-on.

This year Landry's absence can be filled up by Frankamp (Senior) , Reaves (2nd year), and SHJ (Junior Juco). That's a heck of a lot of a better option than a true freshman and a walk-on.

I've heard rumblings that SHJ is the one they hope will fill the role. of course if he proves it

Now let's just hope Samajae, in fact, does charm us.

Let's hope he takes care of his academics otherwise it's a moot point. Anyone know what's the status on that?

Not to be the grammar police, but I think you are looking for "moot" point. Just for future reference in mixed company.

Thanks. Correction made. If Samajae doesn't take care of his academic business Shocker fans will be anything but mute even it becomes a moot point.

I had a bit of a reaction when he told me I should stay in my own lane. I hope he had a chance to read my PM before he got banned.
