the shocker players and coaches know exactly what they are in for. all of it. this is where/why marshall will have 100% full attention. the superfulous will be cut away. defense will be intense, led by seniors- offense will be quick and unselfish, like the spurs.

i'll suggest another over/under: can marshall get his second consensus ncoy?

If Tim "Garrett Stutz' balls" Jankovich can coach an NBA team to 20-1 in the AAC, let alone a 6 deep SMU squad, it will be a cold day in Hell before Gregg Marshall loses 5 games in conference with the team he has next year.

This league will be better than last year. Cincy wiill be as good. SMU will not be better. UCF, Temple, Houston, Tulsa, and UCONN will all be better. Tulane, and USF will trail but still be better than last year. Mot likely, 6-7 teams will be Top 100 teams. We also play Baylor, OSU, OU, and maybe Norte Dame.

Maybe a loss or two in non-conference. But once conference play hits I worry per usual about road games at Cedar Falls and Normal. Plus you can always count on a super bowl being played in Terra Haute and Springfield. Heck even Evansville is a tough place to play some seasons.

I like our depth but....
