We have left the MVC and moved to the AAC - we need some people to step up their game and please provide practice reports (pictures and video would be a plus).

But if anyone can provide solid information as to when/where a pick-up game is on any given day, I'd make a trip or two from Great Bend to witness such an event, but I don't want to do the 4-hoour roundtrip on a "maybe they'll be playing" basis."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Pick up games
I've never been able to predict when such games will take place. The WSU MBB office is usually pretty vague about it. I may be able to get a semi read by calling there, but I've also been thrown off the track such that I would show up a CKA and there was no practice that day.
For the past several years, I have been successful just be driving out to CKA (which is a 30-mile round trip for me) hoping that the team would be scrimmaging that day. You have to be inside CKA before 5 PM as they lock the doors then. The actual scrtimmages may not start for awhile though. And, they can be on the main floor inside CKA or in the MP practice facility.
I lucked out around 3 yrs ago in early Sept when the day I picked to go to a scrimmage turned out to be the 2-hr practice where the coaches were involved that week. Up until about 3 weeks before the 1st game when practices take place nearly every day, the coaches are only allowed to coach the team for a 2-hr session once per week.

Watched the team play pickup yesterday for about 30 minutes. Attendee's included everybody but Shaq and Samajae. MM & AR did not play while I was there. Biggest takeaway was that ZB has added a little more arc on his shot and made all but one shot he attempted. The two "Bears" were in attendance and it was interesting to watch them compete against Rauno, Darryln, Rashard etc. BTW Asbjorn appears to be an inch or two taller than Rauno. "Poor Bear" looks every bit of 260 lbs and is fairly nimble not unlike Shaq.
This is going to be a strong, talented, long and deep team. Can't wait for the season to start.Last edited by Signman; July 7, 2017, 12:52 PM.
