Can someone explain to me the lid nazi thing? Exactly 1 lid has been hoisted towards the floor in the last 20 years, it was attached to the bottle at the time, and that person was excoriated.

There has to be some other reason.

All I was told is that it's a new conference thing. So maybe it's a problem at other AAC arenas. The problem is those bottles don't exactly fit in the cup holders very well. Between that and the open cups of beer spillage will probably be up this year. Between that and the prices I can probably do without for the duration of a game or match.

Perhaps that answers the question about whether the AAC referees are any better than those that work the Valley.

I have wondered why they can't sell "souvenir" shocker cups like they used to in the 70's and 80's The actual cost was not great but they used to make great cups to use at home for parties and such. Everyone took them home after the game and those that didn't kids would scavenge them after the game. I want my Wu Shocker collectors cups back

They did a couple of years ago. Real neat looking with FVV, Baker, and some other stuff on them. Have like 10 in my cupboard.

EDIT: I do wonder why they don't do it every year though. I've stopped trying to figure out the thought processes of our scatter brain athletic department, who for reasons unknown to the rational don't seem to realize they should repeat and continue things the fans like.

It's the other way around. The concessions should sell beverages in containers that fit the cupholder. Much cheaper to change the cup than the cup holder -- and the cups seem to change frequently along with the price.

The lid is exactly because of the scenario you mentioned. At most stadiums they take the lids because throwing a full bottle sealed is more dangerous than without the lid, which will empty when thrown.

I have Volleyball season tickets and Women's basketball season tickets where I have access to cupholders (if I want them). Believe me no one would be envious of my SASO point total.

This has been wearing on me for a while. I love the new court and all the upgrades to CKA but something has been bothering me....The fact that all they did was paint over The Valley logo. If you take the paint off the logo would still be there. I wish they would have sanded it away so we could start fresh.
