A few months ago, I had a tragic family event and lost a sibling. I suddenly lost all interest in posting. I still am not to where I want to post, but want to congratulate the Shockers on the move. Very happy for all of you!

Elgin needs to have a, what we NCO's call, "that's ****ed up sir" or the civilians call a "come to Jesus" moment with the MVC Presidents council.

The last chance to avoid the iceberg was back when Creighton, Wichita, and the other western schools wanted the MVC to rotate through KC and it was shouted down with a "historic announcement". It would not likely have prevented CU's departure but Elgin has been rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic ever since.

They also went 4-6 vs RPI 100-200 teams and lost 3 times to RPI 200+ teams that year. Hot at the beginning, absolutely terrible in the middle, and hot again toward the very end.

UNI did that to themselves, no conspiracy necessary. Happy to be linked with a higher level of peers now.

Didn't intimate one. I'm tying my point to the fact that the previous season, going into the last week, they were the 10th ranked team in the land weren't they? Pointing to a conjunction you see. Just giving the Valley a little more credit than most, that's all. Chicken fans wonder how they keep losing to Valley teams too. It's a mystery isn't it?

And I only mention them because they usually play a decent non-conference schedule which gives them chances to pick up good RPI wins...etc

Plus, in the new Valley I would bet they kind of take over as the team most likely to get to the NCAA tourney most years. Which gives us wins over tourney team.

Look, if we can buy them then all the better. But don't buy a team that most years would be worse. Try and get some consistency on the schedule.

Really, I don't care either way. Just want to play good teams :). At least we are in a conference now where that is a guarantee.

We're good, but I'm not so sure how many regularly top 100 type teams are going to give us a buy game. Of course, being in the AAC may change that.

Floating right around 100 isn't worthy of a home/home either. Especially in a market we don't benefit by going (recruiting)
