No Shocker player has worn anything but Jordan or Nike shoes on the court in the last 5-10 seasons.

I agree though, there has been little flow or evolution of our look. I would assume that's because our unis are selected and ordered by a MBB staff member, not a professional designer like you see with some of this UA stuff, the Nike Elite gear, etc.

In that press conference where 3G was wearing a Nike Elite t-shirt, the press gave him a hard time and said the players were just complaining about not getting Nike Elite gear. 3G quipped back "we have to make it this far before they start giving it to us". In hindsight, I wonder if that was a dig on Nike and he knew something better was on the horizon?

When Michael Jordan's son signed with Central Florida, an Adidas school at the time, there was talk of whether Jr. would actually wear the appropriate shoes. He claimed to have been told that he could wear Nike, but Adidas gave a stern warning.
For the first exhibition game, he wore Nike, and Adidas voided the entire contract with the school. I think UCF went to Nike since then, but I remember it being ugly for awhile.78-65
