Nobody knows how to choke in the Dance like KU, but you have to give the devil it's due. They have been to the final four 14 times, which is as many times as we have even made the tournament. Point being, knock the little brother stuff off, it makes us look small. Now, if we make the final four next year, all bets are off.

I know, 2 posts in one day. But this one trouble me. Being in KC for work, I interact with KU ball fans all the time. With the exception of twitter users and current KU students, most KU fans are neutral and mildly satisfied with WSU's success. The WSU-KU Omaha game fired up both fan bases and smack talk increased for a month or so. I suppose I could have had a uncommon interaction with KU ball fans. I guess I get annoyed when Kellen Marshall sends our fan base on a retweet storm of smack-talking a program that (from my experience) mostly respects WSU. WSU's successes stands alone. They don't require comparisons to KU to make them noteworthy.

They'll catch the Bruins one day. Maybe even the Wildcats.

Most Chicken fans think it's good for the state to have 3 successful basketball teams. That is, until WSU looks to be the best one. Then anxiety sets in, leading to diarrhea of the mouth. Almost. Without. Exception.

You related your honest experience, so I thought I'd relate mine.

As you can imagine most is about Self, elite or not. Stuff like that...

We should consider asking Markis to walk on next year so that we can make room for LeBron.

They're somewhat out of touch aren't they?

Kellen has a long memory. When he moved here, a bunch of Beaker kids at his school teased him about the Shockers, especially since the first 1-1/2 seasons were pretty tough. "Are you guys even Division I?" I had something similar happen to me by a KU fan right before I started attending Wichita State. Are all KU fans a-holes? Of course not. But it's the annoying ones who stick in your memory.

And yes, WSU has annoying fans too. I sat near one of them last weekend. When she complained that the TV guys were loving on Schoochie at halftime of the Dayton game, I said, "He has FIFTEEN points. They should." That shut her up for a little bit.

                      Great call.

Shaq starting at the 5 has never gotten us farther than the Round of 32. Barney can make a push to be part of the rotation next season.

Having lived in Lawrence and unfortunately, having a degree from the flagship, I've heard all that crap too. My response, who cares if they mildly pull for us? Besides any token, 'I'd like to see WSU win,' it means jack crap. Do they offer any meaningful support to our program? The answer is no, so I don't care whether they pull for us or if they sell their soul to Big Blue when we play them. One of the things I hate about Chickenhawk fans is that they feel like it is blasphemy to root against the Chickens. I think I've really helped spread some hatred for the Shocks up north, and I am damn proud of it. If anything, more of them probably tune into our games because of it.

And they got to keep saying "Schoochie" over and over.

But when he was backup, to a 6'7" post I might add, we beat... The Chickens!!! In the round of 32!
