This morning on fox and friends all they talked about the game was Lynn's behavior. Then I'm listening to kfab the talk radio station in Omaha and Jim Rose did a whole segment on it.
Too bad the kids played the game no words about how hard they worked or time invested.

Unless I see some evidence other than an unknown "reporter" saying "Maggie told me", I'm not buying it.

Fine. She went too far. Kinda like when i go to far by making an inappropriate joke at work. Let's put it on the news.
I won't defend it but I will say this. A lady at a sports venue drank alcohol which is sold there, got inebriated like millions of other sports fans at various sporting events in history and yelled at the refs too much? We are talking about things that are so common you can find them at a local Wichita Thunder game. I agree it's a bad look and I won't defend it but I also won't act like she did something the world hasn't seen 1000X already this year alone.
It's only news because of who she is and there was an opportunity to trash a quasi-famous person. A fat middle aged bald guy doing the same thing would never make the news. Because it's not a big deal.
It really is a hit job. Thats unfortunate and I expect Gregg to be angry. Lynn is a class act and she will probably issue an apology.

As a woman, my perspective is different than many of you on here. First of all, she represents WSU, is a fixture in the town of Wichita, and is the Head Coach's wife. G Marshall holds his players to such a high standard and does such a great job keeping them out of controversies. She embarrassed all and the saddest part is the players are overlooked in the media and this garbage is being discussed. Her children also must be humiliated. She owes all a HUGE apology and muststop this behavior. Not a good example.

This story is currently the 4th slide on MSN.com's homepage. I don't know precisely what she did, but I find it nearly impossible to believe she didn't do something wrong. Security doesn't mess with coach's wives in the stands after games just on a whim. Worthy of national news? Maybe, maybe not.
Regardless, I agree with @shockchic:. Lynn represents the university much more than any "ordinary" fan in the stands. She should be expected to represent well, and this is not well. It is disappointing that Gregg and Lynn keep making news for the wrong reasons.
Go ahead, bring on the responses that "this is the price of winning and being intense" and all that crap. No, its not. Take off the rose colored glasses and the moral relativity based thinking for just a minute. These things keep happening, and it shouldn't be acceptable.

Look, I'm open minded on this. I don't drink, and I can't imagine anyone has ever heard me curse at a basketball game. But I just see this as a non-issue. Someone persuade me that this is alarming.
Here's where I am: I just don't see the impact. She was wearing Brown's jersey. Do you think he's embarrassed to be associated with her? Do you think recruits are saying "I don't want to go play somewhere where the coach's wife is the type of fan that can get carried away?" Are there donors that are seriously considering reducing giving by a dime because of what she says at games?
I've sat two feet from Lynn at games before. I think it's pretty well known she yells at refs. I've heard her swear. She's a passionate fan, and she shows her passion in a way that I don't (but in a way that huge numbers of fans do). That's just my perspective. I get that lots of people are saying she crossed a line, but tell me why it's bad. What's the ultimate bad thing that comes of this?

There was no alchahol there available to the public
Beer and wine was available in the club level bar/restrant. Limit 2 drinks. Payed for with tickets. Drink service stopped at game time, couldn't carry it into arena. Drink service is available in the suites, but Lynn was obviously not watching in a suite.

For me, it is a frustration with society's low standards. I do not deny many people see this behavior and think "eh, whatever". To me, that is sad.
If that makes my standards appear too high in most people's eyes, I'm ok with that. I'm not adjusting mine down.
