        • Now I'm really going to love PlayStation Vue. All the necessary channels for only $35/month.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

the old big east is back again, in a sense. the new big east can take a hike.

intensity off the charts. wichita state basketball does not **** around. tough like old georgetown, old mvc, and i fully expect the aac to give it right back in spades.

may as well start at uconn. how fitting.

warning: wichita state is a whole lot more than just landry shamet

                  September 15, 2017

“The 2017-18 season will be the first with perennial NCAA Tournament team Wichita State as a member of The American. The Shockers, who won the Missouri Valley Conference and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, have been ranked as high as fourth in the nation heading into the fall.

UCF will first meet Wichita State on the road Jan. 25 in a game scheduled for 9 p.m. on ESPN2. The Shockers will then make their first appearance in CFE Arena Mar. 1. That game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN.

"The American is a premier basketball conference and it will prove that once again this season," Dawkins said. "Adding Wichita State to what was already a formidable group of league opponents makes this year's conference schedule that much more exciting as a competitor….”

                  Non-Conference Schedule
                  1. Alabama - 82
                  2. Nebraska - 111
                  3. William & Mary - 112
                  4. West Virginia/Marist - 149
                  5. Gardner-Webb - 188
                  6. Mercer - 196
                  7. Missouri/Long Beach/Saint Johns/Oregon State - 226
                  8. Southeastern Louisiana - 251
                  9. Missouri - 253
                  10. South Carolina State - 307
                  11. Southern - 319
                  12. Stetson - 328
                  Average - 222

Not a very impressive Non- Conference schedule for a team that is projected to finish in the top quarter of the conference this season.

Mizzou and Alabama should be vastly improved from last year and if they end up playing Wesr Virginia then that's not a bad schedule.

They are playing a lot of bad Power5 teams:

Nebraska, Mizzu, Bama, W.Virginia, Oregon St.

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU men's basketball, the reigning American Athletic Conference champions, announced its schedule on Thursday. The Mustangs open the season at home Nov. 10 versus UMBC and begin conference play against UCF in Moody Coliseum on Dec. 27.

                          Non-Conference Schedule
                          1. USC - 37
                          2. TCU - 52
                          3. Boise State - 70
                          4. Arizona / N.C. State - 72
                          5. UMBC - 157
                          6. Northern Iowa - 158
                          7. New Orleans - 161
                          8. Villanova/Purdue /Tennessee /Western Kentucky - 163
                          9. Louisiana Monroe - 294
                          10. Cal Poly - 297
                          11. Northwestern State - 303
                          12. UTRGV - 315
                          13. Arkansas - Pine Bluff - 345
                          Average – 186

Very unimpressive Non-Conference for a team that is to compete for the regular season championship. They really loaded up on some lower tier level cupcakes. However, they will have an opportunity for some redemption if they are able to do well in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament.

"…We have put together maybe the best non-league schedule in the history of Cincinnati basketball with some tremendous opponents and historic programs," head coach Mick Cronin said….” :banghead:

                            Non-Conference Schedule
                            1. Florida - 8

                            13. Arkansas-Pine Bluff - 345
                            14. Bellarmine University - DII (exhibition)
                            15. Embry-Riddle - DII (exhibition)
                            Average - 188

If this their best Non-Conference schedule, I would sure hate to see their worst schedule in their history.
