I've posted on here that I believe the goaltending call is the difference maker, all else held equal. But I hope you agree with the logic that a blown call in the first half appears to be less crucial than a blown call on the final possession. If a game is tight in the first half, and it ends up being a blow out, you can't blame the loss on the call. Because of that, no one remembers first half blown calls outside of the fanbase that was hurt by the call.

As an observer with no dog in the Gonzaga/Northwestern fight, I knew immediately that the goaltending call was going to have an impact on the outcome (even before the coach got the T). Casual observers of the WSU/UK game did not have the same, immediate reaction to the blown call because it was in the first half.
I would take two more points added to the total...

Yeah, since I'm obviously arguing that we didn't want those points.

I do think it affected the outcome

        Me:
There is so much wrong with "more crucial minutes" to have a goal tend. They all are equally crucial because they directly impact the point total. The gonzaga one was just as bad as the frankamp one.

Don't put quotes around "more crucial minutes." I never said that. The fact that you believe that's what I'm saying shows that you have refused to actually think about what I've said in any of my posts.

I said more obviously crucial minutes and less obviously crucial minutes. I'm saying that a casual observer believes that a blown call with two minutes less is more OBVIOUSLY crucial to the outcome than a blown call in the first half. The adjectives "more" and "less" are describing the word "obviously" not "crucial."

A blown call in the last few minutes sticks out to a casual observer. My argument is that people not remembering the blown call since it occurred in the first half is part of the reason that it didn't gain as much traction.

You should always beat up a car and kick its taillights. That way your court date will get pushed out after the season. It's the law.

It seems to be "politically" fashionable doesn't it?
