He knows he needs to improve. He seemed really really down on himself in the post game interviews yesterday. I expect a lot of work and a big jump from him.
DS will be fine. How many times have you seen the jump in JuCo players in HCGM's system from Jr to Sr years!

The guy who needed to hide post game yesterday was Willis. His faux defense in the 2nd half was unforgettable. It was as bad as the day he arrived.
I really didn't have a problem with his big boy talk the day before. As Joe DiMaggio once said "It ain't bragging if you can do it."
However, you have to back up the brash talk with performance.

    That didn't happen.

    That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

He knows even more than we all do that his minutes were part of what cost the game. It would be tough to have to wear that.

I'm thinking Landry and Markis may want to move in with Rashard, Zach and TANK! Nothing like a good guard dog to keep the would-be thiefs at bay.

Takes strength to own it. He is gifted physically. Let's hope he gets the fire in his belly this offseason. We need all hands on deck.

          • This game would have been much different if we could have made some early shots.

UK also hit some shots late to keep us from gaining the upper hand when we had some momentum.

They hit a couple shots that were wide open, but also hit a few extremely difficult guarded shots that there really wasn't much we could do.

Well, a loooong time has arrived cause LS is one heckuva player that demonstrates maturity as a RS Frosh not seen since, well FVV.

His demeanor and composure during even the most pressure packed situations is elite level play. He will make things easier for HCGM to work on other facets of the team knowing that part is good hands!

                That is all.
I was particularly impressed with the way he actually controlled the tempo of the game. The CBS team kept talking about it as well. I'm pretty sure he and the rest of the team are scrimmaging right now. It will be an Angry Offseason.

Are players living off campus these days? I know the fourplexes and houses off 17th often serve as quasi student housing. The area around Fairmount Park is pretty dicey. Bummer for both of these guys and double bummer that we can't do anything to help.

Yes, its pretty common i think. I remember that Fred lived off campus, pretty sure Kelly does with Tank (And ZB).

Exactly. Make some shots early and eliminate all the bonehead plays, and UCLA would be playing the Shox in the Sweet 16, not Kentucky. Still a hell of a season though.

                        • Good performance. Wasn't surprised (other than we lost). We don't have "size" as in heigth, but we have length to guard. That's what we'll do next year.

                              Calipari wanted to make substitutions.

Those are "fake timeouts". Stoppages for seemingly no reason after made baskets that allow players to sub and kill all momentum in the game. Apparently, Calipari gets a few every game.
