His maturation at about the 7:25 mark in the second half was especially significant. He didn't wilt, he didn't hesitate, he didn't waffle. He doubled down. 14 points against a couple of soon-to-be NBA guards in that span of time just solidified his status as one of the top point guards in the country next year.

Could be SlyShock is in that age range. Not all posters are old farts like me.

      • Landry's mom tweeted that someone stole Landry's watches and McDuffie's Play Station, apparently during the game. You'd think the arena would have some security hanging around the locker rooms.

          It was Lynn.

          • Good, bad or indifferent, I'd hate to be Maggie Marshall today. And here I think just my daughter spends too much time on social media. Gotta learn the hard way.

They were stolen from their house in Wichita. What really sucks is I'd gladly help them out replacing them, but I'm sure that would be an impermissible benefit.

That makes more sense. Poor guys.

                • If I were Drew Franklin I would be embarrassed by my complete lack of professionalism yesterday. The NCAA was wrong to try to make him delete a video. However, the fact that he is at the game taking videos of the wife of the opposing coach in an attempt to embarrass her instead of covering the game, and spending the next several hours doubling down by posting crying Jordan photos, posting the story, etc. is extremely pathetic on his part.

You had a writer with a media credential who was supposed to cover the game, but instead spent the entire game and aftermath trying to get back at Lynn Marshall for an apparent exchange of words between the two. The crying Jordan picture, sending tweets saying I DGAF (classy), etc., were all sad on his part. If he ever wants to move to the next level in his profession I'm sure the company hiring will see these things and scoff at the prospects of hiring him. I know I wouldn't hire the guy.

You are a sad little man, Drew.

"I was pissed, so my bad behavior was justified."

                    Terrible logic.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

I will tell you what I do know for a fact. My daughter is a WSU student. She works part-time as a cashier at a retail store that the Marshall's go to as customers. My daughter has checked out Lynn Marshall's purchases on several occasions. She says that each and every time Lynn is sweetest person and nicest person to my daughter. There's not one bit of arrogance or pretentiousness in how Lynn has treated my daughter, ever.

We are not big donors to WSU. I have never met the Marshall's. My daughter is not even that big of a basketball fan. So there really is no reason for the Marshall's to treat my daughter in a kind way. But Lynn does it because that is the type of person she is. She is a very kind person. She is a loving person. She is genuine. She mother's the Shocker basketball players because she loves them and wants to take care of them. She wears Zach Brown's jersey because she feels like his contributions are overlooked. She is the world's biggest Shocker fan.

So why are you all throwing mud at her?

Did Lynn make a mistake today? Maybe so, I don't know for sure. But this is the time she and Gregg need their friends to rally around her and support her. Let's not openly criticize her. Let's show her the love and support she needs at this time.
                      No. No. No.

Gregg and Lynn can be the nicest people on earth, but still deserve major criticism if they have repeated moments of unacceptable behavior on the job.

                      Gregg has had multiple incidents.
Lynn is effectively "on the job" when she's at the game. She's tied to Gregg. Her nice-ness to people in ordinary life doesn't excuse representing the university that pays her family millions in such a poor fashion.

                      • Go cuss out your boss in a moment of anger and then explain "but I'm normally a nice guy".

Individual actions matter. The 99% doesn't necessarily erase the 1%.

                        • Apologies are needed asap to the school and especially the players. I also believe penalties are in order and she should sit out a few games next season. Not a a good representation of WSU and certain decorum is necessary when you are a high profile Head Coach's wife. It is kind of like drinking on the job. :(

Shamet is going to be an all-time great Shocker. With the pieces around him next year will be quite fun.

Agreed wholeheartedly. She shouldn't be allowed to play for at least the first three games next season.

So this is three times as bad as kicking someone's car and physically threatening them then? :)
