  • AR was 1/1 from 3pt land and still did not travel against Dayton.
For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.

Do you think he'd go pro, given the opportunity? One only has to play college ball for a year to be eligible for the draft, right?

Today's stage was just a bit bigger than what you watched for 4 years in Cedar Ridge. 3G sees these guys in practice every day. We do not. The choice between playing Daishon and Austin comes down to a very athletic junior vs a savvy freshman who physicallly might be overmatched against the likes of Austin. I love Austin's game and Austin would be my choice over Daishon but I don't see them every day and I don't get paid to make those decisions. In any case it's not a clear cut decision.

With hindshight I think many of us on this board believe that Austin would have been better served by taking a redshirt year and that perhaps that is something he should still consider for next year. He clearly has D-1 skills. Now if he can just develop a D-1 body to go with it the sky is the limit for Austin.

          He's not going this year.

Depending on the year he has next year, it certainly could be something he might want to consider.

He's a man in a kid's body. Needs one or more seasons to be physically ready for the league.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Virtually everyone in Shocker Nation is a huge fan of Austin, and sees big things for him in his future at WSU, but he was a freshman battling injuries. He'll get his time.

Same exact thing can be said for Keyser.

That said, Gregg loves Austin. The WSU fans love Austin. We all expect great things from Austin. Just not quite his time yet. But soon.
I agree—everyone has to start somewhere. But I'm totally psyched for him that he's living his dreams!

I am eager to see what the next 3 years have in store for this team! It's beyond time to make those ass clowns on the selection committee eat their words!

Yes, I love me some CJ Keyser, too! The sky's the limit for these two young men!

Big guards/swingmen to play with the bluebloods. They won't be able to shoot it over our guards any time soon.

I agree... I think next year, but with that said the nba scouts just saw a kid drop eighteen in the second half against a top five pick... Landry was the best player on the court...

                          • Also does anyone know what was going on with regards to the "fake timeouts?" It seems like twice, a "timeout" was called by Kentucky immediately following a big basket by us, only for the timeout to not happen. Play was stopped and it allowed subs to come in. WTF?

                            • Apparently a Kentucky writer recorded Lynn Marshall being herself and 100% into the game and posted it on Twitter. He tried to get her thrown out.

Those are called 'Kentucky time outs'. You can get random stoppages to make adjustments if you are great enough to coach at a blueblood.
