What Marshall-era Player Would You Add To This Team?

The defense is good, but having Cotton cover the other team's best guard in addition to the defensive prowess of Zach Brown would give us perhaps the best defense in the country.

I will vote outside the box as well. Ehimen Orukpe. Nothing like a true 7ft shot blocker that can run like a deer. I remember a couple of teams in the tournament commenting on not being able to drive in to the lane and shoot without altering their shot because of the big guy. During the final 4 run, one opposing guard stole the ball from him under the basket, drove the length of the floor only to be rejected by Orukpe......Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.

My first thought was Cle due to his athletism/size, but in reality, McDuffie brings much of the same to the table just not quote as strong at this point in his career. I went with Cotton. Brown is a good defender, but Tekele was LOCK-DOWN. He was so good at anticipating passes and knocking the ball out for an easy fast break, something we don't see a lot with this group. Adding Tekele to this group would make a really good defense a great defense.

In this order for me...
1. Cle - simply because we kinda lack a jumping jack for tipped rebounds and finishing above the rim against legit bigs (I still have nightmares of giraffs thanks to Louisville back in Nov.)
2. FVV - poise and just MONEY.
3. Tekele Cotton - just because.
4. Evan Wessel - another tough guy opposing teams forget about on the court but ALWAYS comes up with loose balls...and damn I bet teams get tired of his strength during games.
5. Ron Baker - see Wessel plus added bonus of long range assassin.FINAL FOURS:

Cleanthony is the guy you can't duplicate. He is also the type of player non-power conference teams almost always have that make a run to the final four.
Cotton would be my second choice because he was the most important player on our second best run under HCGM.

Garrett, Cle, Fred
Again, this is more a testament to the quality of guard play we have. Garrett was flat out dominant at the end of his senior year. Angry Garrett was good Garrett. Add him and this team would be unstoppable.
Cle for his knack for putting the ball in the hole. But not enough of a low game to take the place of Garrett.
Fred, man, you did a fandamntastic job training Landry. Hats off to you. Thank you.People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do. -Isaac Asimov
