Watching the games it certainly did not feel like we were passing the ball poorly.
My complaint was not the # of TOs.

Going from 17.3 assists per game (prior to the MVC tourney) to 9.0 is quite a drop, almost half, and the scorekeeper may have part of it. Not sure if he was most of it.

I think of it this way...they are still finding ways to score points and keep opponents point totals down while not having good shooting nights. That is the sign of a great team....

I'm guessing our FT attempts were also quite high...no assists if we are constantly at the line.

Not totally disagreeing, but we shot lights out from 3 and very good from the line (even missing a bunch at the close of the ILS game after the game was decided).

I'll add that MSU and Bradley together hit their season average on assists in our games. MSU a couple more, BU a couple less, so the scorekeeper (and us) didn't hold them back. Now ILS, we just made them have a real crap game. All they could do was launch a lot of 3s and they didn't do that well either.

We were at the line a lot and averaged 55.33 shots per game. Our season average was 58.97.

"Willis can only go left" is now bullet item 23 on the scouting report.
He still only uses his left hand, even on the right side of the basket. I always cringe when a simple right handed layup becomes some bizarre finger roll/hook shot over the front of the rim.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Wilis needs a popular rehabilitation technique....Constraint-induced movement therapy-The focus of CIMT is to combine restraint of the unaffected limb and intensive use of the affected limb. I figure a boxing glove on his left hand from April 10th until July 10th should make him much more proficient with his right. It was stunning to watch how he had to make difficult moves to free his left hand when a simple reverse lay up with the right was available.
