  • Duke Freshman Taylor King to Transfer

DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke freshman forward Taylor King has decided to transfer.

King, a 6-foot-6 native of Huntington Beach, Calif., saw action in all 34 games in 2007-08, averaging 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He had two 20-point games, including 27 points against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 25, 2007.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said Monday that King has "the ability to be a good player," adding that he supported King's decision to transfer.

Duke did not say where King would transfer.

He thinks he is going to get more PT at USC UCLA or UNC those are his top 3 choices.

If playing time is what he wants hed be better suited here or a school of similar stature

Maybe he just wants to be closer to home.

I think the Sean Sutton topic is a little bit more closer to our neck of the woods than some Duke kid transferring.
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

So let's just report every transfer by everyone, everywhere. It's all college basketball related.

Don't be too harsh on the guy. He's still getting a feel for what types of information is acceptible and appropriate for certain forums.

What I told him (and I think it's a good guide for all of us) iss that if the information is regionally interesting or nationally significant, and still relevant (ie. college b-ball), it's probably going to be OK.

There can't really be any hard and fast rules, but poster discernment is advised (err on the side of caution).

In my opinoin, these would be acceptible non-WSU topics:

                    - A Valley coach or player leaves the program.
                    - A Big12 coach or player leaves the program.
                    - Big-time coach (Williams, K, etc.) or player (Hansbrough, Love, etc.) leaves/transfers from a big-time school.
                    - A major scandal at another D1 school.
                    - Anything negative about KU/KSU

                    Some examples of unacceptible topics:

                    - Roleplayer leaves Duke/UNC/IU/ASU/etc.
                    - Nex Mex. St. fires their coach.
                    - Anything good about KU/KSU.

Ok, the KU/KSU things depends on the context, but I think you all get what I'm saying.

We don't mind moving a topic now and then. We just ask that everyone use their better judgement so that moving topics around doesn't become common-place.

                    Thanks!

Sorry Hotel, it was not my intent to be too harsh. I just hate Dook and anything about Dook and took it out on you.

-Duke on always being a tournament team as quoted by Dick Vitale....

Basically don't talk about any relevant/elite programs and things happening in the college basketball world.

when you can define relevant then you have something to say.

Until then you should log off.

This stuff will never cease to amaze me.

The title makes it very obvious what the topic is, so please help me, what's the cost?

Pushing something that no one has replied to in 4 days to the 2nd page?

                            Someone explain it to me...

This guy has unlimited range and a quick release. Having a guy with size like that in Duke's 4 out and 1 in system could have been extremely valuable for the Dukies the next couple of seasons so you should love this news.
