I don't get the Doyle love. Is it because he was a KU recruit or we gotta throw the Valley's largest media market (lol) some love? He's a good player but I think McIntosh is better and plays on a better team.

I was glad to see Hawkins dealt to the 2nd team though. If he's never gonna get any punishment from his coach, I'm glad the media was able to step in.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

But I remember guys that have good games against WSU. Doyle, Lee and Johnson had good games against WSU, so in my book, they are deserving.
Jaylon Brown probably had the best two games against the Shocks. A total of 53 points on 16-27 shooting. Granted he is a product of Marty's system but that is still pretty impressive.

Paris Lee actually had two below par games against the Shocks. A total of 14 points on 5-21 shooting (2-10 3Ptrs) and 9 assists to 5 turnovers.

Holding the likely POY to those numbers is precisely why Zach Brown should get DPOY.

Brown literally made him go sit in the corner and watch.

When it comes to defense Brown delivers.

Methinks Paris Lee should hope either he or Landry Shamet do not make it to Sunday.

Also, I would have given DPOY to Wills before Lee. He is their defensive stop (and he's really good). People just like raw stats too much.

Will he score a point against Brown?

I wouldn't be surprised if he got his.

I would be surprised if Shamet doesn't continue his recent trend.

Thought player of the year might be a little closer. Lee got 33 first place votes, 5 second place and 1 third place vote. McDuffie and Shamet both only got 18 votes total.

Based on these results, there is no way Marshall gets Coach of the Year.

If another team even has a pulse for a year, Marshall wont get it.

Lol, there's your motivation for St. Louis at least.

I'd say it's a fair bet the rest of the league not show up, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Redbirds and how they play. These guys, and our coach, are going to be pissed. If for no other reason than the point difference.

Just the way they like it.
