After 2014's 8 seed from hell, and 2015's screwy seed, I really have no faith in accurate seeding anymore so who cares. Besides, I'm not rooting for Illinois State in anything. Ever.

I'm not worried about seeding since the committee will screw up our seed no matter what, I AM worried about getting into the party. If we don't win STL and ISU tanks, it just gives the committee one more reason to deny us entry. I dislike the redbirds as much as anybody else but WSU getting to the dance is the most important thing IMO. If it takes ISU finishing strong to get us there i'll just grit my teeth and bear it.

18-0 is safe. Fourpeat and 5 of 6 is looming. Take care of business, sleep on no one , win 9 more and make 67 other teams sweat the draw.

This, and something a little beyond, doesn't get enough credit here but especially around the league and country.

If you take 2 games away from WSU in the last 7 seasons, you can take away a league title (2015).

If you give 2 games to WSU in the last 7 seasons, WSU is working on a 7-peat right now.

Now, obviously you can't do any of those things. But I think the "nice little run with FVV and RB" narrative gets way overblown. This thing started in 2010.

That or at MSU next week without McIntosh are our best bets. I don't see them losing to Bradley this weekend for sure.

I certainly want to win the title outright. I'd like ISUR to keep just enough pressure on to ensure our guys remain focused.

If we win out the regular season, my guess would be that we could afford a Saturday loss and still get an at-large. Hopefully, we won't have to worry about that, though.

I have a really good feeling this season will go exactly how we hope it will. Including a mid level seed with an "upset" over whatever unfortunate upper seed draws us. This team has way more talent than normal, and it is coming together, as evidenced by the 41 point win over a great team. There is more where that came from, and somebody out there is going to get slapped with it in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the dance.

I think Illinois State is a very good team. Not sure I would call them great however. At least not sans Mikyle McIntosh. Still, if given the chance I think both Illinois State and the Shocks are capable of doing some damage in the NCAA Tournament. I would like to see both of them get in.

@EvanDaniels: Illinois State forward MiKyle McIntosh is expected back "soon," per Dan Muller. Has missed last 5 games. Key piece for the 21-5 Redbirds.

Not sure what "soon" means. But take that for what it's worth.
