I think Kelly was their player of the game in the last game? They tend to pass it around so they can talk to different guys.

I pulled up the video on WatchESPN. Thanks to those who gave the time of the incident. 100% flagrant and intentional in my book. The kid saw Rauno coming, set his feet, was coming out of his chair and threw the elbow with intent. That has to be one of the dirtiest moves I have seen since Grayson Allen. He should be punished by the league after a review of the incident. Totally classless.

        • If Kelly keeps playing like that, he is going to go to the line more.

Except for that one Bradley dude. That was legit.

Also, no, he doesn't shoot a lot of FTs. His FT rate is one of the lowest on the team.
Maybe I didn't state what I was saying very well but he's been shooting quite a few free throws during his resurgence the past 3-4 games and shooting 50 percent isn't going to cut it. He's been taking good shots and even when left open from 3, he's been by passing those shots and driving. If I'm the opposing coach, I tell my players to play him very physically and send him to the FT line instead of giving him easy lay ups.

Another thing. Some of us have been touting Frankamp as being a player to watch for the future and not giving up on him. Landry and Conner right now are complimenting each other right now and showing what our future holds.

Frankamp has made very significant strides the last 3 weeks. Which is good, because until a 3-minute stretch in the 2nd half last night, Smith had all but disappeared.

Smith and Willis falling off a cliff plus the Reaves injury have moved us from a very solid 10 deep to an interesting 7.5 deep real quick.

Connor hit his 2nd 3, then 4 straight trips he runs down the floor, open, hands up, and no one gets him the ball.
Shox need to get better about finding hot hands, especially Shaq who thought his 3 was a better option than Connor.
He needs to take the initiative if he's hot. His job as a point is to recognize who's hot (AND WHO'S NOT). Sometime's that is obviously himself.

However, RK was awarded the Shockernet Player of the Game honor, which would probably make him happy, if he knew about it.

He seems to be extremely comfortable in his role, he's not overly quiet, and he has bought in on what he needs to do to win.

We need a few other guys to do the same.....and for crying out loud get Conner the ball when he's hot. Insist that he miss.
From the outside looking in, I agree about Rashard's leadership tendencies. Rashard seems to be the best on the team at leading by example as well as being a vocal leader. And he is one tough hombre.

Is there a Shockernet Twitter account that can proclaim a SN Player of the game and tweet at them to notify them?

                            • I've thought it would be cool for ShockerNet to issue the following recognition:

Supporting Player of the Game, brought to you by ShockerNet, a loose collection of old athletic supporters.

I know, the title is kind of long.

But seriously, there are a lot of "POG"s, but very few that highlight the guy who may not have been the top player, but did a number of positive things, or had a big play at a big moment.
