I would not underestimate SIU or Barry. Their backs are to the wall. They need to start winning again or Thursday night cometh. We just need to keep our heads in the game and our eyes on the bottom of the basket. When Shaq plays well (and stays out of foul trouble), it loosens up the guards and the points flow.

I would not underestimate WSU or Gregg. Their backs are to the wall. They need to continue to keep winning or a second place finish in the MVC cometh. We just need to kick their butts up and down the court.

On the other hand Burrah is the reigning COY. I hope we don't get outcoached.

            Interesting stat of the day.......

Number of games WSU has won this year when they HAVEN'T scored 80+ points:

            2

Barruh hasn't had much of a bite lately, but over the years he's given WSU plenty to stress about. I'd be happy to see our defense continue to improve.

Would love to see Shaq continue his outstanding play. However, more importantly to the outcome of this game IMHO is that the Shocks maintain their defensiive focus and intensity that they have shown in the past 3 halves of basketaball -- 2nd half of the Evansville game and the Indiana State game.

It will be interesting to see if Darral Willis can adjust to his new found popularity with opposing team's defenses.

Needs to play the two-man game, kick out quick and get it back.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Shaq or Willis (or both)? Shaq has 9 assists over the last 3 games. Willis, on the other hand, seems to hold on to the ball too long and get into trouble. Willis is very good one on one. Not so much when he gets double-teamed.

You give Shaq the ball at the elbow or beyond and he's looking zip a pass inside. You give it to Willis in the same spot and he's shooting a jumper or driving. It's one of the most impressive things about Shaq IMO. Very very talented passer for a big man.

Shaq can also drain it from there. I have a hard time believing his passes would be as effective if he weren't a legitimate threat from mid-range.

Indeed, although I have thought he should be doing more of that all along. It may take him awhile to catch on to that way of thinking and playing.

Willis is also effective from mid-range, but doesn't take advantage of it when it comes to passing.
