The Trees Coach mentioned after our last game they felt they were only a few plays away from defeating us. I would be miffed if they are all that close in our barn.

Would love to see Connor and Shaq play like they did last game to prove that they're serious about this (mostly Shaq). Not that this game worries me, but we might need to play better than we thought to win this conference if Illinois State is gonna keep winning. At our house, this game shouldn't be as close.

      Shockers - 84
      Trees - 70

If you mean close by making three 3s they didn't, stopping WSU four or so times they didn't, or some combination of that. They're use to being only a few plays away, however, they've had 7 losses this season that fit that description better than WSU.

          Shox by 23 exactly.

Anybody have any accurate figures on how many shots CF is averaging per game? I would hazard a guess, could be way off, but I would be very surprised if it is more than 5 or 6 per game.

Realize he has had some (perhaps) confidence problems, but we need him to double or perhaps nearly triple his output. And they don’t have to even come close to being all 3's. He has a deadly shot when he drives in,then pulls up, and shoots a couple of feet either way from around the free throw line. We need his scoring output, but first, as the story goes, he has to buy a lotto ticket.

            5.8 shots, 2.7 from three.

So might it be prudent to sub in Shocks, even to the second row, the last 5 minutes of the game, and this is why. If these Shockers play 35 minutes of "Play Angry, MTXE Shocker Basketball" the bobbery will cause the Shocker gameplan against the trees to beget sticks, sticks to beget toothpicks, and toothpicks to beget sawdust, and sawdust with this Kansas wind to go poof. We owe this courtesy to our Sycamore friends to get them back on track on what happens on the cold and lonely road versus a visit to our barn. Does any of this make sense?

The Trees are a mess. Unless they bring back "79" Larry Bird with TJ Bell it won't be close. Home cooking, sleeping in their own beds and TLC from the girlfriends should revive our guys and lead to a comfortable victory.

I want to give a shout out to ISUB's Brandon Murphy. No, he's not doing anything special, but he has turned into a much more serviceable player than I ever thought he would. Good for him.

We haven't seen a good ole Morris vs Murphy foul fest this year. Over under 6.5 on combined fouls, i'm taking the over.

Does ESPN3 black out games that aren't sold out? I could be wrong, but I don't believe so.

Since the game is ESPN3 only, it will not be blacked out anywhere.

But the game is not on Cox 22. It is just on ESPN3 per the GoShockers site. As @shocks02: alluded to above, it will not be blacked out because it is not a Cox 22 game.

The major prognosticators are once again unanimous, in favor of the Shockers in the "Roundhouse":

                                Nolan +15.0
                                Massey +19.0
                                RPI Forecst +20.3
                                Sagarin +21.2
                                Vegas +20.0

I'll go with the majority and take WSU by 20:

                                A cord of wood - 76
                                Shockers - 96
