I believe CF has turned the corner; I noticed what seemed to be an attitude (aggressiveness/confidence) adjustment beginning 2 games ago. He has been much more assertive since then...look out world. Same thing Shaq needs to continue...take the bull by the horns. Nurger also playing with great confidence...love it.

The Shockers rolled over and hit the snooze button a couple of times before waking up. A halftime visit with Dr. Marshall, the team proctologist, seemed to do the trick and the Shocks played like they did not want a 2nd treatment from the good doctor at the end of the game.

I continue to be pleased with the platoon at PG. Both guys have their nights, both have their matchups. Tonight was Conner's show.

Also happy to see Shaq and Rauno both have big games. They don't thrive together often.

DS has had one real good night against a team that bothers to play defense.

I am kind of expecting him to hit his stride next year. HCGM is a tuff guy to play for as a juco pg in year one. Especially if you don't get a majority of the minutes.

I think we'll hear some more from Daishon before the seasons over. Wouldn't mind if Frankamp shot like that more often. Same for Shaqs effort. Pretty much everyone contributed. Slow start, good finish!

Good momentum building game! Oh yes..we'll still see a few Heckle and Jeckel games this year...but this effort (in the comeback) has got to be considered a "growth" moment that the team and coach can build on.

Down big and came back to win BIG. I dont care who its against...winning like that ON THE ROAD is exactly what this team needed!!!

A small step in the right direction, but before you get too excited, take a closer look: this year's Shocks are living on their offense, with an AdjO rank of 27th. The defense is a very unMarshall-like 52nd at 96.5 points per 100 possessions and getting steadily worse as the season goes on (vs. well under 90 last year). You can make the case that part of their relatively poor defensive ranking is due to the big leads that have enabled WSU to coast on defense and play the deep bench at times when it had no possible impact on the outcome, just their stats and metrics -- I personally do believe that's a factor -- but to highlight just how uncharacteristic that AdjD number is, guess who's just ahead of WSU at #51, with 96.3 pts /100?

Yep, the quintessential one-dimensional, suburban H-O-R-S-E, all-offense Jayboys. Believe it or not, Creighton is actually 0.2 pts / 100 better than WSU is so far this year. What the heck will they think of next -- a total political novice winning the presidency?

Always kinda wondered with a more "athletic" type recruit (player) that is more keen and adept as an offensive player...could those type of players develope on the defensive end in a Marshall coached team. Not to jump to conclusions at this point (cause they're still learning)...but it seems that we now have a lot of offensive minded players having to adjust their God-given talents and buy into a very serious minded defensive coach...which can lead to a somewhat confused player (team). I love it! The experience continues with the youth and newbies. It can only get better from here with a great teacher in Coach Marshall.

This team does not play as good on defense as last years team. Both of guards last year were elite defenders. However, I have a feeling that stats would show that we are shooting more shots, quicker in possessions than last year (not as many shots late in possessions), and our best defense is when we play full court defense this year. Because of these two factors, and maybe others too, our opponents are having more possessions and are taking more shots than last year. Just a guess.

You're not that far off. He's been extremely efficient.

He is 21 of 30 from the field in valley play for 70%. 18/26 on 2 point attempts and 3/4 from 3.

We have more depth than anyone in the conference. We need to use that depth to our advantages and press the entire game.
