Why would you do that; I thought you were a fan of Shocker basketball with insight into what happens on the court and within governing bodies rather than on some analyst's worksheet.

Would be interesting if you had done this as IMO you would not be leading this contest.

What happened with you this year? First week you scored 4 points; what source did you use for those picks?

If I may ask, did such a pitiful start lead you to conclude you had no chance to win this year? Did this conclusion lead to your failure to submit predictions for week 2 and 3?

I'm ok with them not participating. It's just a couple of less people to make me look dumb for my horrid picks.

Such separation provides the reader(s) with insight on the objectivity of the participants' postings on other threads. All IMO. of course.
Fortunately we don't have to divorce our fandom for the Shocks due the level our program is at right now (and how crap the rest of the league is), you can quite reasonably pick WSU to win each week and come out smelling like a rose at the end of the year.

Besides, I suspect most of us have no desire to wade though dozens of picks each week to track how "objective" the other denizens of this forum are. As if you can truly determine someones objectivity as a result of what may or may not be educated guess work in a for fun pick em contest.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

OK, since everyone is asking... if KenPom had played along with this game.

Week 1 - Ken would have scored 6 points. Fever scored 5.
Week 2 - Ken would have scored 10 points. Fever scored 8.
Week 3 - Ken would have scored 8 points. Fever scored 7.

Of the 15 total games played, Ken and Fever have disagreed on who would win 4 times. Ken has been right in all 4 cases.

            I'm dying laughing over here.

Their non-participation does not lead me to agree with your conclusion; RussDaBuss's performance in week 1 was worse than yours. As for JH4P, Kel Varnsen and drizzle, we will never know as they chose not to participate.

As purely scintillating as pick-em and fantasy contests are, I have more entertaining things to do like trimming my toe nails and picking up dog scat in the backyard.

Maybe someday when I'm a mute quadriplegic on a respirator I'll take part, when I'm not already busy doing paint by numbers artwork on a computer with my eyeballs.

Nothing against toe nails, dog crap, and quadriplegics or anything.

If your KenPom info is correct, then you would be tied for second in this year's contest. Please post your KenPom predictions and let's see how you perform.

Given such a post leads me to ask how you find the time to post on Shockernet? Toe nails trimmed? Dog scat picked up?

Sure thing. This year, Round 1 I did last minute and just went with my gut (big mistake). Also, in years past, I used a friends subscription to Kenpom and it was not renewed this year. Regarding week 2, I was traveling and failed to realize there was a game on Saturday until after the game started so I did not do any picks since I was already so far down the leaderboard.
Shocker fan since December 28th, 2005!

                          Oh that's hysterical.

Making comparisons to my picks, after the fact, without you having the balls to play, and you relying on somebody else's work to make your picks?

Did I get all of that correctly?

                          Yah, absolutely hysterical.

A topic dedicated to inquiring as to why certain posters don't participate in a pick 'em game . . .

Somewhere a shark is getting jumped.

Meanwhile my post of the year about sheep, UNI players and that's what she said jokes is dying over in another useless thread. It's a sad day in ShockerNet Land.
