WSU vs drake Game Thread

He has no idea what ball movement is and it is beyond frustrating. Sometimes he ultimately makes the correct pass, but it is always a moment or two late.

Perhaps overstating your case a bit IMHO. Zach has 32 assists to 16 turnovers this year. That would seem to indicate he isn't always late. By comparison, Markis has 27 assists to 24 turnovers and has played 374 minutes to Zach's 325. Zach's assist to turnover ratio is only worse than Landry, Conner and Austin among the starting 10.

Zach was really bad last night although very good on defense especially on Timmer in the 1st half. Zach has his moments for sure but needs to become more consistent. He isn't the only one. However, Zach probably expends as much energy on the defensive end as anyone on this team especially since he is often chasing the other teams best wing or guard.

I did stay until the end of the game, but got up and left on our last "running the clock out" possession and didn't see or hear it (that 2nd half was unbearable). Kennedy had Smith on as player of the game.

Watching the the replay the 1st half we weren't that great and the 2nd half we weren't that bad. Water finds its level. Smith was not good for a stretch in the 2nd half.

Yeah, Zach has some warts on his game that need to be addressed. Just like every other player on this roster to some degree or another. Zach did not play well the past two games with the exception of his defense and rebounding (which, fortunately for Zach, are the two things 3G values most highly). That seems to have put the target of criticism on Zach for the time being. Conner is gratefui to him for that.

The Lord knows I have failed; that’s what happens when you attend the game. Should have been watching ‘live’ from my La-Z-Boy. Of course I probably would have had a 'potty break' during that timeout. Good catch by BOBB. The ‘cameraman’ might be lucky to have a job next week; he forgot he was looking through a lense... that was simply too obvious. Wish I knew how to ‘gif’ the moment. :)
