      I would be totally on board with this rule change. I was thinking of posting something similar. Next yr especially everyone, every game will start with WSU - 4.

        The other option is that we do the Shocker games against the point spread

          I would support that.

          Another idea. Each player can only bet 1 on WSU each round except for one or two "wild card rounds" where you could use up to 4 points on WSU. Each player can use their wild card(s) on any round during the season. You would most likely use the wild card on a round that you found to be particularly unpredictable or to try and make up ground towards the end of the season.

            I'm guessing you prefer to play poker with everything wild?

              I don't think you want to make it too complicated. Especially for the guy who is monitoring the contest and keeping score and for a contest that is just for fun.

              One thing we could do is assign the points to games in advance with the games having the biggest spread or favorites receiving fewest point and the toss up games worth more. Everyone will have the same points riding on each game but not necessarily pick the same team to win.

              Can you imagine having to pick Drake @ Bradley with 4 points riding on the outcome. There could be some wild swings in standings with that method.

                I guess I didn't explain that very well. In a round that you decide to use your "wild card" you could put up to 4 points on WSU.
