Other Valley Conference Games Thread 2016-2017

I had to keep going back and checking who I had in Pick-'Em because I couldn't remember and there were no obvious "winners" in most of the games. After watching 3 of them tonight, there weren't even any "winners" after the games were over. There were only those that failed to lose.

Unless Bradley comes back with a miraculous rally, I picked all of those who failed at losing. I can't come up with a better way to describe the games tonight.

I finally had a shot at a perfect pick 'em round but lose 2 OT games to blow it. I need to do a better job of analyzing the potential officiating crews I guess.

I got all 10 so I must have sucky officiating down.

Predictably, UNI fans are already making comparisons to last year and are talking about huge winning streaks. Unless they get that garbage officiating called every night, they aren't doing ****.

Illinois State's D was terrific against an arguably bad Bradley team.

I hope our guys were paying attention. There is a WIIIIDDDDEEEEE gap between those 2 teams and the rest of the league.

He stepped down because the season looked like "hot garbage" (a term I learned on Shockernet), and immediately they started winning a lot. 4-3 and third place is past the point of being a few flukes. They went from being one of the worst teams we'd ever seen to being almost out of the risk zone for Thursday.

Seriously though, there's only like a dozen of them. While they have done things the right way for a craphole program to succeed, they've enjoyed an inordinate amount of success and luck since joining the MVC.

The numerous buzzer beaters and over achieving results in tourneys they honestly didn't deserve to win makes those 12 or so fans nearly impossible to rationalize with.
