When comparing LS and CF - I think overall passing (not just for assists) is clearly in the favor of CF. He almost always sees the pass that creates a gap or an issue for the opposing defense.
LS is still developing the skill. The one play that best illustrated his lack of point guard instincts was his drive after AR made that sick step back three. AR was wide open in the field of view for LS for a inside-out corner three. Instead of passing LS threw up an unbalanced runner. I have seen this tendency throughout, but haven't been too concerned until that play. We had a guy clearly ready to go bananas- you have to feed the hot hand.
I think LS's shooting will improve over time, but it is good enough. The next step in his game is making the right pass.
For CF - I just want him to talk a little smack and play with some swagger.
I like everything he is doing outside of passing up a few good looks a game. Maybe college basketball broke that killer instinct, but I can hope.
For DS - play like you did in the last ten minutes. Brilliant. I love his ability to pass ahead. Maybe he could develop the left hand a little more and stay a little more focused on what defense we are in (especially early).
For AR - avoid fouls. The rest is money.Last edited by proshox; December 11, 2016, 11:29 PM.

Originally posted by WuDrWu View PostOkay, somewhat fair point, but that (I think) ignores his high school situation. Nevertheless, he was a top 50 recruit. And for the record, I completely agree, that IS a LOT of pressure on the young man. Being from Wichita doesn't diminish the pressure...neither does being a transfer from ku, I love the game and wouldn't want to be in that position.
I'll buy he's not living up to expectations. Does that mean some fans should be giving up on him? How many people said "I'm done with Frankamp" after the game yesterday?
He's damned good. Maybe not as good as some want, but he's still damned good.
I'll buy that's he's buckling under pressure, maybe even some of his own doing (although EVERY time he lines up a 3 the entire crowd inhales as if it's a certainty to go in...don't believe me, watch).
I just hate that people are giving him a hard time when clearly he's been solid at WORST so far.....and still, if you don't think he has upside you don't understand the game.
Doc nailed it and although some on here will still want to yap about CF, it is what it is. Yea I know, an old and worn out cliche but spot on.
CF does what he can do and after watching the game a couple times, did everything he can do with max effort.
Doc is correcto about every time he launches a trey. Most expect nothing but twine and disappointed when it doesn't fall - even from 25'!
He is a player that needs certain match ups and will get them as the season moves on. There will be nights when he scores a couple and others when he approaches 20.
He gave all he had Saturday, which is more than I can say for RK.
The lazy ass pass he made at crunch time was inexcusable and almost cost them the game. I questioned why HCGM even put him in after he had sleep walked anytime he had been in before.
HCGM yanked him ASAP after his gift turnover and planted him on the pine. Not sure where his mind was Saturday, but it wasn't in OKC.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

I will agree to terrible execution on the pass.

LS reminds me a bit of Toure Murry. He can do a little bit of everything. He's long, plays good D, athletic and decent shooter. I think LS has more upside though. If he can get more consistency with his outside shot, he can be a star in this league.
