For those that follow recruiting, consensus 5-star recruit Trae Young is deciding between OU, Ok-State and KU tomorrow. He has been putting up insane numbers this high school season at Norman North. OU could certainly use him more than the other two schools.

Oklahoma has a lot of young talent, but if he's only going for one year which would probably be the assumption, he'd be an idiot to not go to Kansas of those options.Comment

I'm not sure I would call him an idiot for going somewhere other than KU. KU will have Malik Newman next year and is already bringing in a 4-star PG in Marcus Garrett. OU would provide Trae basically no competition at the point guard position, and has shown they can produce NPOY's and Lottery Picks in Buddy Hield and Blake Griffin. Jawun Evans is supposedly leaving for the NBA after this season. Looks like the mock drafts have him going late first round or early second round. The freshman, Brandon Averette, has looked pretty good from what I've seen and could provide some competition to Young. The experts we're saying it's more so about familiarity. The dominoes continue to fall. With Lorenzo Romar out at Washington, #1 ranked recruit Michael Porter has reopened his recruitment. The two favorites to land him now are Mizzou and OU. Mizzou because he grew up in Columbia and OU because he was AAU teammates with Trae Young. If OU could add this young fella as well, watch out.Comment
