Still a little difficult to get a good read on where this team is. I think the team chemistry is good but the team idnentity and the roles players will take is still developing and unsettled.

I certainly don't think we can take a win over CSU for granted. It will be interesting to see how CSU fares tonight agains 5-1 Colorado.

The neutral court win over LSU is looking better. Hopefully, we can add a solid road win to the resume and get back on track.

My guess is that Austin will play.

He is certainly nuttier than Jacobson...but I think he has had significant success wherever he has been....

We win by 15-20. Marshall won't accept a loss! He's definitely gonna be telling the team we're not here to lose!

I hope this is the case as it will be my first regular season Shocker road game. Home fans leavin early and Marshall inviting the WSU faithful in attendance into the locker room celebration would be ok with me!

I have a feeling after those 2 losses at the Bahamas the team is realizing if we don't win there's no march madness for us!

I wish I still lived in Colorado for this weekend only.

We don't know exactly how good either CSU and Loyola will be this year. However, Loyola may be better this year with Custer and others. This may be a good comparison and still be a relatively good RPI game.
I think Custer and Doyle is a pretty decent D1 backcourt. They gave NC State a hard fought game at their gym. Not to mention the tough game they gave us in the quarter finals of the MVC tournament last year. Just sayin'...

Colorado State plays 9 guys and is led by 6'8" Sr Forward Emmanuel Omogbo. He averages 13.5pts & 12.3reb in 31min.
They are not an overly big team, 1 guy over 6'8, a 6'11 FR big that plays 19.7min but does little (5pts/4rebs/.8blocks).
Their leading minute guys I assume are starters and go 6'1, 6'3, 6'6, 6'8, 6'8.
They appear to be a solid defensive team, giving up 59.8pts/game, admittedly against light competition.
They are not great offensively, putting up 67pts/game.

Size, stats, competition all lead me to believe WSU wins in a close one. Shox by 6-8.

                      More comparisons using UMES games:

Colorado St held them to 42.6% from the floor, 22% from 3. WSU gave up 49.1% and 47.6% from 3.
Colorado St out rebounded them 39-26, WSU won the boards 32-25.
Colorado St only forced 6 turnovers while WSU forced 17.
Colorado St won 76-65. WSU 116-79.

A quick look at their game against Stanford. Stanford forced 20 turnovers and held them to 29% FG. CSU did hold their own on the glass at 37/35 in favor of Stanford.

Does my vote count since I think Jacobson is overrated beyond belief?

                          every vote counts.

if the shockers show the same thing as they have the last three games, they are in deep doo-doo at colorado state. like, it could get ugly.

Shox are good. Don't let those 2 games against Top 25 national power programs let you down. We have serious talent that just needs a little time to gel. We will beat CSU and blow out the Valley. OU and OSU will be good tests.

Are you thinking that CSU is on par with Louisville and Michigan State?

IMO the CSU game is more likely to resemble one of the Shocker blow-out wins than it is a loss to either UL or MSU.

please. i'm thinking nothing of the sort.

but this isn't on a neutral court, now is it?
