A new first unit will have more points.

        Shockers 52
        Nazarene 67

(With the way some of this forum is reacting, I bet this will be the score.)
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

Back in the day, I saw SNU a lot...very nice NAIA team at the time...not much to look at in this one...Shockers by 45-50.

Yawn. This is a money game with little value. It is not worth the price of admission other than to watch the Shox dominate an undermanned opponent.

Predicting the largest number of empoty seats in the last several years seems reasonable.

Concession sales could be way up. There won't be much of a reason to stay in the arena every minute of the game. This would be a great game for introducing sales of booze in CKA.
Food and beer truck rally in the parking lot wiuld be an enticement, but would anyone actually go in to the game?

I will not be making the trek for this one. I am however, going to Ft. Collins for the game Saturday.

This game is like most other exhibition game except it is not called an exhbition game (for the Shockers anyway). I don't expect this one to be like Augusta. The interest in this game is not so much the oucome but what kind of tweaks and hints will we see on what kind of lineup adjustments and perhaps style adjustments 3G might make.

He said after the Michigan State game that he will have to evaluate himself, he will have to evaluate our personnel and he will have to evaluate the way they are playing. With the Southern Nazarene game up next he said he hopes to be able to experiment with his lienups and the way they are playing. He also said because the team's execution in the 1st half against Michigan State was abysmal that he dumbed it down in the 2nd half which he may have to do going forward. We have a lot of new guys. It will be interesting to watch how this experimentation unfolds although it isn't always easy to evaluate this stuff against a weak opponent.

Maybe with this particular team it would be better to simplify things and let their natural athleticism take over as much as possible and then gradually add things as the season progresses.

Among our large junior class Rauno, Daishon and Darral have stepped up the most and I hope that will continue. I think it will. 3G I'm sure will be giving serious thought to how to best utilize Shaq, Conner, Zach and Rashard and what their roles should be. Whatever that is we need them to bring that on a consistent basis. He may be hampered a bit with how he utilizes Conner if Austin is unable to play much.

I think these dynamics make this game more interesting than it otherwise would be.

It may have been just me and I may have been tripping but Marshall had an unfamiliar disposition on the side lines during those two games. Didn't seem as fired up or engaged. Probably just me and my imagination.

I noticed that the game is not on the normal Cox KS channel (22 and 2022), but on Cox Extra (122 and 2122). I also notice on my channel guide that the call letters are now YVKS, which I see stands for YurView Kansas. Doing a Google search on YVKS, it took me to the Time Warner webpage. I also noticed that there are a lot more games and other things from the NE Kansas area (Kansas and K-State).

There was a game before the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament that I had set up to record, but when I looked for the recording, it said it didn't record because it couldn't find the game. Looking at Channel 2022, in the Guide at the time, all it showed was To Be Announced for every time slot. So, maybe they were updating information for the change over to YVKS. Program information now shows okay for 2022.

                          Does anyone know anything?

I will need to check with a rabbi but I believe "YVKS" is Hebrew for "yucks", as in any game that is a laugher is going onto THIS station.

Take that with a grain of salt and lox.

After the summary of Coach's radio show, I am predicting that Southern Nazarene is going to get pounded.
