Shockers didn't lose that game because of free throws.

      • We lost to a top 10 team, this is not a surprise. Now,if we lose to a down Michigan State team tomorrow, then LSU, SCSU, LB, Tulsa and MESU must really, really, really suck and the Shox are fool's gold.

        • Excuse my FT comment. I have been drinking too much wine. We missed 8 free throws.

          • Shockers are missing too many free throws still, they missed ones that guards shouldn't be missing in the last game.

            • Louisville is as great team.

Because we are a great team, and they had their way with us.

We were a few stops and shots shy of beating a freaking great team.

That's all there is to it.

              • Izzo will have MSU in S16 shape come March as usual. We missed an opportunity today. Tomorrow is huge.

                • Just couldn't hit early. 2nd half wasn't bad. Room to improve

?? That really had nothing to do with us losing. They did not beat us off the dribble

                    • Conner looking to pass when we were down late made no sense, take the deep three! Open corner threes for Louisville killed us. Looked like UNI with better athletes.

It sure as heck didn't help. You miss that many and lose by ten?

We lost for a lot of reasons, FTs are definitely one

                            This!

We got hit in the mouth that first half, but didn't pack up the bags after being down 16 pts. Shox didn't play well in basically all facets of the game (a lot due to UL's length and defense), but they were able to get the lead down to 5 pts in the 2nd half.

There were those that questioned what will happen when the game doesn't come as easy as the first 5. While they still didn't play great, the team showed they aren't going to fold.

I don't believe in "moral" victories. However, this is a loss the team can learn from and grow from it. I like our chances against Michigan St.

                            • Didnt see it all but what I did see was we couldnt get the ball to drop. Still lets win tomorrow.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

This is exactly what I was getting at.

We were down huge to a top 10 team at halftime and still manages to make a game of it. Especially as inexperienced as this team is that's actually pretty damn impressive.

Give our boys all season to grow and I'd love to get another shot at Louisville in the big show.
