Don't know if he enjoyed the rest of the game but that play still lives vividly in many memories. A few moments in Eddie's doghouse probably worth an eternal place in Shocker lore.

That was not the first time Sasha pulled that trick. The previous year, Smithson let him get away with it a couple of times.

I also believe he lacked the same "fun of the game" for longer than just that game.

Exactly. I have felt for a while that his biggest problem was that he was "playing politely" instead of playing angry. He started in the right direction against Vandy last year, and I hope he continues.

Love his enthusiasm, however, can the whole six shooter thing get him T'd up the next time? Players can't throat slash, a ref might perceive this act being just as bad. With everyone being so damn sensitive, politically correct and liberal these days, I hope it doesn't come back and bite him next time he does it.

Doubt that he would get a T. Unless he specifically was taunting an opposing player. I see dozens of players celebrating each 3 they hit in similar fashion.

I hate to sully a good thread, but you're right. Fogler probably would have benched him for that, unsurprisingly. We're talking about a guy who benched Joe Griffin in a game where we were routing the other guys.

That was similar to what I also said in the game thread right after the game. Then later he did a salute from the bench cheering on his Shocks. Would Eddie Fogler have benched him as he did when he did Sasha on his famous move with the ball between his legs that faked foes out of their minds? Prolly, but I see Rauno make lots of shots in warm ups just like the ones he made today with the beaming lights glaring. Just think when both he and CF get their confidence going strong as the games march on. Watch Out!!!!!!!!!!!

You would be correct. Only difference is that Sasha's was technically a basketball move not a celebratory one. Not sure the game was as fun for Sasha for awhile after that.
