I just don't know what to make of your posts anymore. I can't tell if you're sarcastic, half-serious, or half-baked.

When one of the MES players fouled out near the end of the game, the student section did the "left, right" chant, but he was playing with them when it got to the "sit down" part, because he'd act like he was sitting, then he'd stand up again. Still quite a few empty seats in that section, but the ones who were there seemed to be having a lot of fun.

I'm really digging Zach Brown's game right now and hope he can sustain it once we hit real competition. He's handling the ball much better and making deliberate and decisive moves to the basket. He's playing with a lot of confidence and that seems to be something the entire team has right now.

It's very much like these guys want us to believe they're a different team than the teams that were led by those who won't be named.

          It's working.

Yikes! I suspect you THINK you're being equitable with such a statement. There's actually a much more accurate word to describe it though.

This has been fun 4 games. I almost want to get giddy and start thinking big things - but this week will be the test of where this program is. But on the face of it, look like another great reload (and development of players) by Marshall with some great additions who will impact this program for years to come.

Yes the three games in the Bahamas will inform the NCAA MBB universe what type of team the Shockers are post RB/FVV/EW.

I agree with this 100%. Also feel the same way about Rashard. He doesn't look quite as confident with the ball as Zach does, but he made a couple of really nice moves putting the ball on the floor yesterday, plays I'd have never expected out of him last year.

Rashard finished better yesterday. And ZB has looked really good. But then again the first 10 look interchangeable.

                    • Rashard is an adequate or better rebounder. He is also an adequate or better defender. However, his weakness (against others playing time) is his lack of flexibility, especially on offense. He is a 6'6-6'7 (not a tall 4) face up forward, who is thick, tough, and a very good leader, but is too short to post up most defenders, and doesn't have the moves that Willis has. On offense, he drives the ball and gets to rim pretty well. However, he hasn't shown a consistent outside shot during his career so the defenders can lay off of him some therefore taking away his ability to drive.

Just my opinion, but as Willis improves, I think that he make take away minutes from RK and as the season gets longer, MM may take away some also. This doesn't take away his importance to the team because of all the little things he does well.

                      • As long as the Shockers continue to play well I don't really see 3G shortening his bench at least among the top 10 guys. As the competition gets tougher the minutes may dry up for the other 6 guys. I think 3G likes the flexibility and versatility his 10-man group gives him not to mention the benefits of having the fresher team not only at the end of games but perhaps more importanly heading in to post season play.

Sounds to me like everyone has their priorities in order.

I agree and I don't see him shortening the bench either. He'll go with 10 once the competition rises (B4Atlantis), and use the next 1-2 players if fouls warrant. I don't see him changing the starting 5 or changing the rotations either unless we lose a game or 2. I do see minutes changing from game to game and maybe a trend will develop on a player or two down the road, and minutes decreasing or increasing accordingly.

Hate to pick on these two, but...

As upper-classmen it is their duty to hit the boards and defend like their hair is on fire (Shaq too). Any offense they provide (couple of nice dimes so far) is just icing on the cake. Just shut down the guy you're guarding.

In other words, no unforced errors and turnovers. Keep your head up. Slow down. Minimize mistakes = 28 wins
                                3-4 losses
