They have the better RPI/SOS, every other category likes WSU better. That's the summary.

And they are 1-0 against us. Good solid tiebreaker to this point.

          $7...you can't get 1 beer for $7 today. I gotta think that's $28-35 nowadays.

I generally use ncaa.com or live-rpi when I am looking at just RPI. I chose ESPN over them this time strictly because finding historical data on live-rpi isn't near as easy to find.

                    • Good news is after these next 2 games against Bradley and Drake our remaining opponents are almost all in the top half of the league in RPI, so if we keep winning we should make a slow, but steady climb up the RPI.

Cannot overlook anyone. Drake may not be in the top half of the league's RPI, but they are in the top half of the standings at 5-4 (4-0 at home). UNI 4 game winning streak @ DU might be telling of who's really on a roll.

Loyola, after their first 2 game debacle (losing one they shouldn't and blown out the other) has played every game tough. They're basically a team of guards and try to use that to their advantage instead of the disadvantage it should be.

We have yet to play MSU. They have played everyone tough, especially @ IL St where they lost in OT (the birds outscored us 33-20 to the finish).

Why does only having a home game left with UNI not make me feel better?

                        • KenPom predicts WSU to win 7.7 of the remaining 9 games. Basically, 8-1 down the stretch is most likely, but 7-2 is more likely than 9-0.

If you remove the game vs ISUr, KP predicts WSU to win 6.95 of the other 8 games. That's a very clear over/under of 1 loss somewhere. Winning all 8 of those "should win" games would be a great success.

These posts always make me wonder who the poster is talking to. I mean, sure, we all know the team can't overlook anyone, and the coaching staff I'm sure drills that into their heads. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure no one on the team is probably a member of this fine board. As a fan, is there really anything wrong with overlooking a game (or team) or two in order to look to a different game that you'd rather think/talk about? Sure there's always a chance of being disappointed if those games don't go the way we'd hoped, but I'm REALLLY looking forward to the Redbirds game and think it's the most important game of the year right now. I'm sure 3G and the boys think this weekends game is the most important and then the next one. That's their "job."

                            • I'm nervous about three remaining games: @ Loyola, @ MSU, and vs ILS. We might stumble elsewhere but that's likely where a loss would come.

My comment really didn't have much to do with the actual quality of the teams we are playing. I was merely stating that beside for the next two games against teams with pretty bad RPI's almost all remaining games are against teams with RPI's in the top half of the league.
