I'm a fan of Hamilton and hope he continues to progress. Willis will be a inside force for us for 2 Seasons and was a key needed shot in our arm. Once Willis gets settled into this level of play, it will be difficult for Coach Marshall to keep him off the floor in tough games.

3G has an impressive ability to bring in key Juco players that can join right into our rotation and really help us. Willis and Smith are two such examples of this fact.

I like Eric. He is by far the most athletic of our big people. The first half of his minutes last night he played under control and was productive. The second half of his minutes he went into bull/china mode. Playing under control will earn minutes but he's still a work in progress.

Having said that, I believe Darral will get more minutes than Eric. Darral was obviously nervous in the exhibition, not so much last night. As he gets more and more comfortable production will rise. I suspect he is already further into Gregg's circle of trust than Eric.

          • I'm not entering into who is correct and who is more athletic between Willis and Eham. However, HCGM places Willis at the front of the press and Eham at the back of the press. This may not solve the debate but there is a reason for why this is done. Now carry on.

the eagle couldn't even print a box score? boo...
michigan state was quick on quick last night. they play on fast forward.. they don't hold the ball too long. i usually think of the spartans as deliberate. that would be a huge test for the new look shockers.
new look? wichita state seemed just the same as if fvv and baker had been there last night.
i saw evidence of frankamp dribbling the ball too high.
many thanks to sherrell from augusta for providing wichita state with motivational tape.
once willis gets comfortable, mvc title, again, is a realistic scenario.
shamet must remain healthy. very possible mvp of team. 'could easily run point under marshall if needed. he is a frosh, you know.
shaq passes so well from the high post. always has. always will.
last year was #1 defense in the country, literally. marshall seems to prod this team to challenge that ranking.
reaves is a warrior. 'kind of rare breed.

The 12th man is the Fighting Texas Aggie student body.

IIRC, I saw EH and MM together...out in the front of a full court press early last season......I also saw a couple of guards pee down their legs...It was scary.

We all get old and confused RDR, but wrong sport and wrong message board.

                      • I was wondering how much more in depth the scouting report was for SCSU versus Augusta? Had to be significant. Had to be helpful.

This is not a knock on CF, but he played 5 minutes in the 2nd half and had a box line of zero across the board and we won the second half by 20. I believe I heard that our walk-ons plus 2 won the finally minutes of the game 11-4. Some of CF's time in the 1st half was with Smith at the point and he at the SG. This was not a game to make that kind of statement.

Nurger's 3 assists are a direct result of that scouting. Its nice to have Jans back on the bench.

                            • Some seem to have forgotten rather quickly that we were extremely spoiled by FVV. He isn't coming back in the door. Conner will never be FVV. Daishon will never be FVV. Austin will never be FVV. NOONE will ever be FVV. If you keep looking for FVV instead of enjoying what this year's team and this year's point guards are, you're going to have a whole lot less fun this season than you should. The Conner can't play PG stuff is getting almost as tired as the Evan can't play PF stuff did. I mean, we're two games in. We should probably go ahead and take his scholarship away now before it's too late.

Not really. Student body as "12th Man" is to aTm what "Play Angry" is to WSU. The term is identified with the school. Someone made a reference to the 12th man and rdr connected the dots back to aTm. Just a clever post, nothing more or less.
