I agree that EHam played very well last night. It doesn't really matter 11th or 12th man. His difficulty comes with the fact that he is presently behind Shaq, Rauno, Rashard, Darryl, and Duff at the 5 and the 4. Except for injury, or fouls, this doesn't bode well for playing time this year or next.

Injuries happen, and Duff can play the 3. He may yet have some very important minutes.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

        • Another take-away from last night was the anonymous reappearance of our spiritual leader C. Jans, sitting quietly :witless: on the bench.

Fouls do too and I guarantee that will happen this year in some games, even if injuries aren't a factor. Depth is a great thing when these things happen and Gregg is not shy about putting players into important situations when they have shown him they can perform in games and practice. Whether he is happy with that may or may not become an issue.

And I guarantee you that he already had a game plan (based on last year and their exhibition this year) for Long Beach State close in it's final stages before the game even started.

He had a couple really nice passes to break the press also

                  • I would put Hamilton way ahead of Willis based on what I have seen so far this year. Hopefully that is just tinkle-tinkle syndrome for Willis and he gets over it in the next 24 hours.

Watch Willis again from last night. It was very, very good basketball.

All I've seen so far is a volleyball rebounder that can't hold onto an entry pass. But I am hopeful. Looks a lot like nerves to me.

                            • Did it look like Duff was a little off balance a couple of times to anyone else, or nursing a leg or something? I was at the game, so didn't get to see replays or anything like that to watch again, and he played and "athleted" very well for the huge majority of the game, but just seemed a little off or like he may be running a little differently than normal or something a couple of times. It's quite possible I just happened to look in his direction when he slipped or tripped once or twice as well.
