Wrong channel 22. Try 2022 next time for HD.

CF is trying really hard to change the team's identity. The pace and purpose of passing has nothing in common with last year.

For those wanting him to shoot more - all it took was one good pass to break down the defense. So passing quick was almost always the right basketball play. Against an organized defense we may see him force the issue more often.

Overall - everyone showed positive signs and provided reasons to be optimistic. RK had a breakout game when it came to playing with confidence!

I missed the Augusta game and couldn't wait to see them play - man, I am excited about this year!

That defense is so good, and the subs come in and just keep it up.

We have some seriously high BB IQ going on. LS, CF, AR move the offense via the pass beautifully...RK seems to see know where the ball is bouncing before anyone else...and the big men move and pass exceptionally well.

Watching Markis in the open court is incredible. He had it LY as a freshman too. To finish like he does in traffic at full speed with either hand - enjoy this.

Rauno looks like a grown man and he's going to contribute on both ends of the court. Looks to feel more comfortable; maybe the extra strength just makes it easier.

Excited about Willis; aggressive and seriously quick for a big man.

Rashard is going to be a very important player with his aggressiveness and rebounding; he looks to have continued working on his touch and if that is improved watch out.

Reeves is going to play a lot more this year than I thought. Only the first game I've seen of him against college talent, but I'm reminded of LS and Baker in that he seems comfortable at the college speed. Very early, but he shows he sees the whole court, positions well on defense, and just at ease out there.

I heard CJ wants to be a defensive stopper and he looks well on his way. For a FR, he is built like a tank and seems to anticipate well; several MVC players are going to hate him over the next few years.

I am reminded once again that Shaq is a very unique talent. You can't teach that size, strength, quickness, and touch.

So glad JR got the scholly. It is fun to watch him and Z Bush on the bench - you can't overstate how important their example and genuine enthusiasm are to the success of the team.

Can't wait for the next game!

Conner played very well. Trust me, I want him to succeed HUGE. I'm a big fan of his family and I love that he's at WSU. My point was simply that Reaves is making a point, right now.

Barney came in and did his job well. When called on, he will answer the bell with his best. He has been watching Shocker games all his life. Now he will get some playing time in them. The quality depth of this squad will be one team strength we can hang our hat on. With our bigs getting it together, we should be a solid rebounding team. As our D develops, watch out!!! We will know more about our squad come Sunday night when the experienced 49ers come knocking. I'm glad this is a home game with all of our new but talented players.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I dunno who we should have redshirted, but we do not have enough minutes.

I had it on ESPN3 and the picture was very clear.

Guys will get nicked up. Tough defense will cause foul problems. It's great that no matter what adversity this team faces, we will continually be 8-12 deep.

Marshall stated that he didn't know if Hamilton or Keyser was the twelfth man, but reiterated that he had 10 starters. There was just no fall off last night! Conner, Daishon, Shamet, Reaves, Brown, McDuffie, Kelly, Willis, Morris, and Nurger all played beautifully!

Conner had a solid game. He calmed the team down, got our offense going by making sure other players were into the flow of the game, made sure spacing was good, and he didn't force anything, and make turnovers. His defense was what impressed me most, even though he doesn't have the long arms that make stealing the ball a part of his game. Most of the time, he was in, he played the point. It appeared to me, that the other team was giving him a lot of attention at the 3 point line, and he was rarely without a man, or two to put a hand in his face. This opens up others. This could be a really fine shooting "team".

Reaves did a nice job and had some great plays in the final 15 minutes when the game had a 25 point difference, and the other team may have given in a little. His long arms allowed for a couple of steals and easy baskets which going forward, may be a hallmark of his, and he also made a wide open 3. It shows what he is capable of, but let's not be unfair to him and build him up too quick. Most of the time, he was in, he played the two guard.

In this game, the different skills of Conner, Daishon, and Austin all complement each other. They are definitely not the same types of players and point guard by committee may be what we do the entire year.

Very happy to have Conner, Daishon, and Austin on the team! They are very complimentary to each other. Conner's defense was not a liability last night. CFs only TO was when he created a steal and grabbed a 50/50 ball on the ground, but wasn't able to get rid of it. Conner missed two threes with the shot clock expiring. He made the good extra pass on other occasions. Reaves is too skinny to reach his full potential this year. His skinny potential is good enough to push for 20 minutes a game. Last night both commentators stated that Reaves reminds them of Pistol Pete, and followed up quoting Marshall, "he's got a little Pistol Pete in his game". Let it be known that I was the first person to state this publicly on page one of the Reaves recruiting thread.

                        • Hamilton was not the 12th man last night. I thought for the first time he looked like he was playing basketball. He was a part of the 5 that really broke the game open in the first half with several consecutive great defensive possessions. I hope he can draw on that.

                            He was the 11th.

                            • Please Baby Jesus let our upper classmen Kelley, Brown, and Shaq lead by example and continue to hit the boards as the competition strengthens starting tomorrow. It is a must to any success we have this year. And it would be a plum ifReaves can continue to disrupt under tougher circumstances (re. competition) going forward.
