One of the best opponent stories I've ever heard ...

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Markis will establish himself as THE player to watch.
Connor will be aggressive with his shot.
Darral will show much more inside than Anton did.
Daishon will give comfort to many worrying about pg.
Landry will be a leader on the floor.
Shaq will set the tone for being able to stay on the floor.
Rauno will not be pushed easily.
Rashard will show improvement at the rim.
Zach will show improved 3 point shooting.
Austin will make us wish he was a little stronger so we could see the future now.
CJ will get a TC type dunk.
Eric will make us wonder if he's ever going to get it.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Wow you give 11 the benefit of the doubt and then slam Eric. Nice.

                  1. There is a lot on CF's shoulders. Fred could do it all on both ends and he won't
have a RB backing him up. In close game situations I think JRS will be the back up
GM will go to while developing DS and AR in the easier game situations.

                  2. I don't think this team understands playing angry and that is something they
will need to learn to be a top 25 team

                  3. I feel good about our center situation. Need 18 minutes a game from SM and
probably 15 from RN. I DON"T want either to play soft/conservative in order to
avoid fouls. DW and/or EH can pick up the other 7-8 minutes if he can D it up.

                  4. With PA leaving were going to need good three point shooting from LS, ZB,
MM, and AR or defenses will be able to collapse on us

                  5. I thought we were terrible defensively in Canada - hope that has been addressed.

                  6. With our senior losses EVERYONE is going to need to play harder and better

                  7. Can't wait to get started

                    We would all like this.

Just remember if he doesn't play. He doesn't deserve minutes just because we (fans) see physical potential when we see fleeting glimpses of him warming up and he looks like a stud.

Instead, he plays minutes because he shows that he knows what he is doing in practice, thus, HCGM gives him an opportunity to show it in a game. If I remember from last year, people on here were almost demanding that he play and asking questions why he wasn't.

If he doesn't, we know why. :)

This year is going to be a work in progress. Give this team time to grow and HCGM work his magic. He is working it in practice, working it in individual meetings, working it in team meetings, and working it during interviews. He continually does things, and says things to send messages.

I think that he's been talking or sending messages through surrogates to Conner on what he needs to do if he wants the point guard keys given to him. He does that everyone and within a month, it will all be clearer (although the foundation and building will be continually be built through the entire season).

Gregg changes builds brick by brick and changes strategies to build a team with the best of them. What we will see this year will be more similar to 5 years ago than last year.

                        Honest predictions:

                        1. McDuffie will shine.

                        2. Connor will struggle shooting but run the offense well.

                        3. Landry will show flashes of the future, but needs more time to adjust.

                        4. Darral and Daishon will need work defensively. Common for JuCos.

                        5. Shaq will hit a few jumpers from ~17 ft. and stay out of foul trouble.

                        6. Rashard will dominate the boards and finish second chances.

                        7. Rauno may not provide anything spectacular, but he'll prove himself worthy of minutes with improved all-around play. Will sink one three.

                        8. Austin will look like a freshman, but much better than most. I'm expecting a circus layup for an and-one in the last 10 minutes.

                        9. Zach Brown with 10+ pts on 35+% from 3.

                        10. Overall, we'll see a lot of upside, but also a lot of improvement to be had. We'll be dangerous come March!

Interesting watching AR warm up. Makes a bunch of threes (7 in a row at one point) moves in to 6/8 feet and starts working at that length both right and left hands. Most go in. Fun.

Student section so badly vacant. :(
When your not practicing, someone somewhere is and when you meet him...he'll beat you.
