Hey, it's great they have some votes. The real question is how do they have 7 points and WSU only 16? If you're going to do crazy things, you have to be consistent with it. If you think LBSU is a vote-worthy team, then you must have a ridiculously good opinion of WSU right now. And if just aren't going to pay attention, then get rid of the poll.

I'm going to make a wild ass guess that most of those votes were cast before the Shox game even started.

I've can't remember a season I cared less about early polls. Everyone is just making a judgment about the team's ability to survive the loss of Ron and Fred (and Evan too). I don't blame people for having a wide array of opinions in that regard.

I'm most interested to see the polls after the trip to the Bahamas. That is when people will finally dump (for the most part) their early assumptions and really have a chance to make a true judgment based on what the Shox have shown on the court. I'm reserving getting angry, or being pleased, with rankings until that point.

I agree completely. But so far, dang!

Where do you all think we would be if we are 6-1 after the Bahamas with a loss to Louisville? I think about where we are now, maybe a slot or two higher but not ranked.

We could really be helped by Long Beach. By the time the Nov 28th poll rolls around (after the Bahamas) they will have played @UNC, @Louisville, @UCLA, @Washington. If they can win one of those, or at least make them really close, I think people will start to look at WSU and think "They beat them by 37? Maybe we should take a closer look".

I think we would need to make it to the championship game at a minimum to be ranked. I'm not confident in the voters.

We literally did this one time. It wasn't enough.

For some strange reason I think we will beat lsu and Louisville! If Long Beach gives them trouble Thursday then that's good news for us. But I say we're coming back for revenge from the final 4.

There is part of me that thinks we have too many new pieces. Then there's the other part of me that says our guys are just the kind o lf guys that dont see names on the other team's jersey. They just want to play ball and are pretty damn good at doing it.

GM has built a great team. Team. We have good players, but the last 2 games have been played as a team. They all have a role and they all seem to have bought into their role. I love this team. I know it's early, but these guys ae playing loose and easy. I think they have the talent to beat anyone as long as we play as a team.

Don't underestimate having Jans back scouting too.
