I go to St Louis for two reasons....Basketball and fun. Always good to watch our Shocks with several thousand of my best friends and I have never not had a lot of fun while I'm there.

I would caveat that statement by saying Thursday night, Friday and Saturday morning are fun. Then it takes a sharp turn for the worse.

Just for those who were curious, I looked up WSU's record. 8 times in the past 15 years, the Shox have lost in the semi-finals of St. Louis. That round has been incredibly inhospitable to the Shox.

              STL

As usual, RefChick and I will be there.
Pretty sure this is the 20th year in a row and have seen it all from Lynnrick Rogers to the "O Show" to Dougie M to WSU finally winning it in 2014.

I know its long drive from Wichita, but nothing felt better than watching Fred, Ron and the gang step up on the podium and accept the tournament trophy that year.

This is probably the most important year to win it since the pre-HCGM days.

Have met some really good people there and then there were the Creighton drunks. 'Nuff said.

              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Eight from our watch party group are going, with possibly one more attending. We go every year, and have had our hearts trampled by a 1.9 second fiasco, perplexing officiating, Doug Elgin openly rooting for us to lose, etc., etc. Yet we are going . . . are we crazy?

That was my experience the one time I went (2015).

This year will be my 15th trip in a row to Arch Madness in St. Louis. Over the previous 14 trips WSU has gone 16-13 with one championship and only two other championship game appearances.

While I've always had fun there, the one constant has been that the drive home sucked every year. Yes it even sucked the year when we won.

I'm changing it up this year and hopping on the Southwest flight to STL on Friday morning. I'm really hoping we can win this sucker and I can truly celebrate by having some post championship beers before hopping on a flight home.

2-3 of us going for 6 straight years. What are flights going for?

Just looked it up and if you leave Friday morning getting you there by 7:30am and take the late flight Monday getting you home at 10:50 PM only $108.00 per person. Getting home at 11:25am bumps it up $64 to $172.00

And don't bother responding, as I've already placed you on ignore. (although I'm positive you will not be able to resist)
