  • I think its only appropriate at this point that WSU putting out an offer to fully refund any season tickets if Marshall is ejected from a game before December 29th to those who are offended by this behavior.

I am embarrassed to be a college basketball fan. I now think Calipari reflects terribly on college basketball, and he has disgraced the University of Kentucky and the entire US higher education system. I hope he was fined and suspended and that he had to answer to all UK fans and university administration for his irrational, erratic, and childish behavior. This serves as yet another example that only cold, calculating, level-headed individuals who have low amounts of passion and excitement should coach or play college basketball.

I now have a COMPLETELY different opinion of Calipari and don't like him, the University of Kentucky, the State of Kentucky, the United States of America, wildcats, Lexington, and people named John anymore.
I can only PRAY that S. Carolina reevaluated their security measures after the game!

Self-respecting chicken fans endorse this comment.

I don't know if I've ever thought about that before. This is a side note, but it makes me think of the music industry and movies and even politics. We turn a blind eye to some really awful stuff in the name of art, or entertainment or political party allegiance. We basically have low standards and a high tolerance for filth at times, and then we defend it for whatever reason. Although, I guess I could also argue that what Marshall did pales in comparison to some of the stuff we fill our minds with and subscribe ourselves to. We put up with an awful lot as a culture these days. Some of these examples of coaches acting poorly and there being a high tolerance for it because of what they accomplish in entertaining us effectively kind of points to the same problem. We are entertained, so we allow things... Maybe that's all it is. I'm not saying it's good. Just trying to understand.

I am finding that I sort of agree with you and others about his behavior being out of line to a fault, but I'm also in agreement with the other side which says it's not a big deal. It's more like I don't even enter the arena of concerning myself with whatever his character is, so I am not that bothered when he does screwball stuff. I think the reason I don't think it's a big deal is because I actually have low standards because I am entertained. A very interesting topic. I am pretty certain that if any of the people I work with ever did anything remotely close to that outburst, they would be fired on the spot. Same goes in my family...if someone loses it like that, everyone else is sitting there thinking "what is wrong with that person?" But when we are entertained by this soul-less entity that exists outside of our personal space, I think we don't apply the same standards for one reason or another.

This is my one serious moment for the day. I hope you enjoyed it. I will go back to joking around now...

Seriously flawed speculation - IMO - Move on Fever your act on this thread has become more than tiresome.

IMO the general basketball fan (non-Beakers) will have forgotten this episode by the start of the 2016-17 season.

It is already off the "trending" list on Facebook. Some Kardashian took another naked pic or something.

Let me help translate what JH4P is saying:

"Since the veil of the internet does not allow me to know RMS personally, and since I have no idea how he actually conducts himself, I am going to arbitrarily assume he has low standards for himself and others because of opinions he shares on one particular matter on an internet message board. And I am going to basically disregard and ignore any mistakes in judgment I may or may not have made in my past--whether or not I've been in a situation similar to Gregg Marshall's--by demanding others be held to objective standards that I alone have set. That way I appear to be an island of dignified reason and human perfection amidst a sea of uncivilized heathens."
"It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

                    • I wonder what our narrative will be at the end of the season. If the team recovers from the Carleton game and McGill-gate and goes on to become a great team directly resulting from those two things, what will we say about this trip down the road?

That it did the one thing many thought impossible...

It brought together Fev and JH4P. A true team bonding moment. Marshall continues to pull off the miraculous.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

That's rich... someone from Missouri calling people from Kentucky dumb. Takes one to know one I guess...

OMG!! It was on Sports Center Top 10! THIS IS HUGE! I can't believe that Is how we rank life's events.

Why is ShockerFever appalled by this? Because he throws stones at EVERYONE. Now, his glass house is exposed to the lowly MVC as he has lost the moral high ground. Now the redturds will really lay into him, but if he stands tall and abandons Marshall, then it will suddenly be deflected.

Come on Fever, you know it's all about appearances and what others think. Thank goodness you are here to represent us.

He was put on the injured list. I'm assuming that concussion protocol can't be completed in less than 24 hours
