  • Had it happened in the Valley, no doubt there would have been a suspension. In this deal, there is nobody to reprimand him but WSU, and that ain't gonna happen.

    • Enough already - let's focus on the past two games. SM looks out of shape, not motivated, and can't
stay on the court long enough to help us much. RN will probably play 15-20 minutes a game this year
and is getting better each game. Willis will play some post also, as well as, PF. RK must contribute
more or he will be backing Willis up. Only two meaningful games but DS has not impressed me yet
and GM is giving him ample time to prove himself. Reeves has an opening when the season starts to
play backup point. CF needs to score more and I think he will. LS will be solid on both ends. If MM
plays mostly PF, which I believe he will, there is going to be a battle for backup minutes there between
RK and Willis. Right now, I'd give the edge to Willis. Not having RB and Fred means everyone is going
to have to play angrier or sit and let someone else prove they can cause were going to be 11-12 deep.

"Having officiated for 30 years, I can tell you if hes not suspended, officials will remember. You dont get to do this. Period."

Wait .. so you are saying that as an official, you will call an unfair game due to personal biases against a coach?

        • "Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall completely lost his mind in an exhibition game in Montreal on Wednesday night. He was ejected and had to be restrained by multiple assistant coaches and players after he charged the court and verbally berated several officials during his team’s preseason game against McGill University in Montreal. See the tirade for yourself: For context, the Shockers were trailing 60-56 in the third quarter at this point. Things haven’t exactly gone as planned for Marshall and his Shockers on their pre-season tour of Canada. After an easy opening win over the University of Quebec at Montreal, 107-58 on Thursday, the Shockers were embarrassed on Sunday, taking a 25-point ... "

Sooo you are pointing out that people are incorrectly reporting this? Is that what you are trying to say?

                • It's big news is all I am saying. What was reported incorrectly? The score?

                  • My morning after thoughts:

No matter HCGM's intent, it doesn't look good when the people who know you best (Players/Coaches) feel like they need to physically restrain you. It indicates they were not comfortable relying on 3G's self control.

We will get some interesting coverage, a few new haters, and the opposing fans will have some new material to work with. Beyond that there will not be a measurable impact of this.

There are days I wish I could go off like that!

HCGM will have to be well behaved for a while. Things like this can add up - If Mangino can get fired for behind the scene stuff after making KU football relevant (probably the most impossible accomplishment in recent college sports history) anything is possible.

I love that recourse is always expected against coaches, but not officials. Therein lies the real problem. When one has no recourse, one tends to get frustrated.

One guy makes millions / one makes next to nothing. As a result expectations are different.

That makes sense. Kinda fits in with the current national narrative of only holding certain people accountable.

I love that a supposed 'neutral' party is making public comments about being deliberately non-neutral as a result of a coach yelling. Sounds like what some of us think of refs is more spot on than what some of the apologists would contend.
