      Wasn't at the roundhouse, but understand your emotions perfectly. Digger was a PITA. I think it all started sometime around Dreiling/Papke and continued on. He thought all he had to do was shake hands with Dreiling and he would sign.

      I also remember that he said he would never recruit another player from Wichita again because he thought we cheated so bad.

                I don't think Frazier played in the MVC. The Salukis didn't enter the conference until the mid-70s. I don't think they were even DI when Frazier was there. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

                    My bad. SIU began leaving D-II in 1962 and Walt Frazier was the NIT MVP in 1967. SIU joined the MVC in 1975.

                        and i believe that bob kurland won two nat'l championships with ok state when they were in the big 8. although iba did coach in the mvc.

                                man, i can't believe nobody has mentioned warren armstrong (nee jabali). he's at least as good as any of the louisville guys.
