And the TURNOVERS. These guys can't make a good pass or catch an assist or anything. If it's not a missed shot, it's a stupid out of control turnover. Those are the only two things you will see on this team every time down the floor.

Ok, so I watched that whole game. And here are my takeaways on Ron.
The Good:
This was a much better performance from Ron. The consistent things were generally taking care of the ball, getting the team into the offense, and playing excellent defense. I was amused at all the guys who tried to drive Ron only to be turned away. There was only one guy who got a bucket off Ron on a drive, and Ron raked the ball so well that he lost the ball, regained control, and had to just flip it up at the rim. Ron looked annoyed.
Ron also displayed a good ability to get to the rim, finish or get fouled, and make free throws. He also kicked the ball out to open shooters with regularity and worked off of picks well. He should have had 4 assists if anybody on this team could make a jump shot. He also rebounded well.
The Bad:
Ron has got to be more efficient shooting the ball. You could make the case that his teammates aren't helping, but Ron had 4 wide open looks in rhythm and only made one of them. Overall he was 1/5. Ironically if he manages to make 2 more 3s he's probably going to get a few more opportunities and easily find himself north of 20 points. Hopefully this is like the pan am games where Ron gets more comfortable each game.
Final stat line:
12 pts, 3/9 shooting, 1/5 from 3, 5/6 ft, 5 reb, 2 steals, 2 TO, and 0 assists.
I will give a bit of a pass on the turnovers as one was when he unexpectedly received a pass under the basket and shuffled his feet. The other was a bad pass in transition that could have been a miscommunication since these guys haven't played together much.
Edit: I will also add that having a guy like Cle in the lineup could really help Ron by having someone to feed the ball to that he can trust to finish. Really sucks he is injured. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Cle is toast. His first two years has been very underwhelming, he gets shot in the leg being out late a strip club and misses half the season and now he's sidelined with a bum hammy. He is not taking advantage of his opportunities. The time to shine and show everyone he belongs with the Knicks/NBA is right now and he can't be out there. The powers at be are going to put a fork in him.

Hard on a guy like Baker who went through college with four other guys that did the little things.
I can see KCs point with cle. Ive watched his tape. He is very lazy on D. He doesnt have Mashall up his ass the whole time any more and doesn't play with his hair on fire. He used to play with a Blake Griffin type energy. Now it looks like old man Phil Jackson has more energy.People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do. -Isaac Asimov

The next game is Tuesday. They are shown on NBA tv and the WatchEspn app. They are also archived on WatchESPN.
The Knicks should be ashamed of themselves fielding a team like that. I think Cle missing isn't helping to at least keep them from embarassing themselves. Ron played much better in his second game but he can only do so much. (Does Ron have *target* painted across his face? lol)

Fred will be interesting. He makes people around him better. I think he has a shot to make a roster.
