Baker was 8-15 including 4-9 from three today. That brings his totals for Orlando to 17-42 (40.4%) and 6-21 from three (28.6%).

    • Ron looked really good out there. I'm thinking the Knicks really like him, given the amount of minutes he's logged in all of his games. With performances like today, I think he's inching closer to roster status. Let's hope that he's settled in now.

It's great news that they know he's got a higher ceiling than what he's shown in Summer League games.

The Knicks have been awful in years past, and this Summer League team is garbage. The Knicks could actually be pretty good this year, though. It would be cool if both Cle and Ron got to play for a team that made some noise in the playoffs.

Has there been a whiff of anything about Cle this Summer. Is dude still hurt? If so, dang, he has some crap luck. It has not been a good 2 year ride for him so far. He needs to right the ship. But would be great to see the two of them together on the same roster. As has been mentioned before, maybe Ron back with Cle would rub off on him. That would be a really good thing for Cle.

He's still hurt from an injury that happened right before summer play started. The Knicks didn't extend him an qualifying offer, so he's an unrestricted free agent. He's on their summer team, though. If he has a good summer showing, the Knicks would be likely to pick him up. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good right now.

                    The pertinent portion:
And finally, don't be surprised to see Ron Baker get a camp invite and to make the team as an undrafted rookie. He's been pretty good in Orlando and repeatedly I was told "he just plays the right way all the time. All the time. It doesn't translate here (Summer League) because this is bullsh*t basketball. But this guy can play. He'll be in the league."

What I've gathered out of that is that Knick fans really like Ron and his game, and his curly hair.

                      • Someone with a well-rounded game that knows how to win and is liked by fans?

Why do I have a feeling that doesn't bode well for his chances with the Knicks?

Also liked by the owner (or whoever that guy is), the GM, and the coach. And that does bode well for his chances with the Knicks. It's a battle of good versus evil.

                            • LMAO. He will never live down that perm. You know when he makes the team, his teammates are going to roast him with that picture.
