Wichita State is the Ivan Drago of the Missouri Valley Conference. Whatever it hits, it destroys.
Ivan Drago is an Olympic gold medalist[2] and an amateur boxing champion from the Soviet Union, who had an amateur record of 100-1-0 Wins (100 KO). He is billed at 6 ft 5 in (196 cm) and 261 pounds (118 kg, over 18 ½ stone). He wields a punch yielding over 2000 psi, whereas the average psi for a boxer is 700psi.[3] He is also an infantry Captain in the Soviet Army and as seen on his chest, is a recipient of the Hero of the Soviet Union award. Drago is carefully fitted and trained to be the consummate fighter. His heart rate and punching power are constantly measured via computers during his workouts.[4] Drago is seen receiving intramuscular injections in the movie, implied to be anabolic steroids, though the actual nature of the injected solution is never explicitly stated.[2]

        • The entire CBS Sports panel doing their Inside College Basketball show, Parrish, Danny Granger, Wally Szczerbiak all think WSU should be in the field. And they all explained it very well. Look at your freaking eyes. Wally said after losing 2 pros, they had an adjustment period at the beginning of the year. And now that they're rolling, they have no chances against good teams in the Valley save for Illinois State. Also, they argued that if WSU was in the ACC, they would have at least 8 chances of Top 50 wins just at home and they would likely win most of them.

These guys know their stuff and I'm appreciative that they are preaching common sense from a CBS standpoint, where amazingly the same company employs a wannabe loser, who for some reason has an axe to grind against WSU, and is using his own job to knock WSU down as much as possible.
          Deuces Valley.

          • Watched Inside College basketball on cbs tonight with Gary Parish, Danny Granger and Wally. All 3 agreed that WSU should be in the tourney and that all the computer numbers support this. The consensus was that you just have to watch the Shocks and realize that they pass the eyeball test and should be in the tournament. Gary Parish argued that WSU would at least be .500 in the ACC which would give us those top 50 wins and with that we would not be having this discussion.

            • "No. 25 Wichita State rolls right through Evansville, 109-83" - The Associated Press

              DAVE SKRETTA (AP Sports Writer)
              Feb 21, 2017, 9:55 PM

"WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- The impressive depth of No. 25 Wichita State has never been more evident than Tuesday night, when little-used seniors John Robert Simon and Zach Bush checked into their final home game.

The Shockers were already on their way to a 109-83 blitz of Evansville, their 11th consecutive win and one that moves them to the brink of another Missouri Valley title. But the largest cheers were reserved for when Simon and Bush began pouring in shots in the closing minutes.

Simon hit three 3-pointers. Bush added his third basket of the season.

''Big night for our seniors, who have meant so much to us,'' Shockers coach Gregg Marshall said. ''They know the system and they executed it beautifully. They just went in and played with a flair.''

Still, it was the usual bunch that led the Shockers (26-4, 16-1) to another easy win...."

              • Wally was spot on with his description of how the team has evolved this season and that's what the selection committee needs to understand when seeding the Shocks in a couple weeks.

                  • Wally's opinions usually indicate that he spends a lot of time actually watching basketball games.

He'd be in the serious minority then.

In my experience with CBS Sports Network, getting any archived material is almost impossible to retrieve. I have a child who works in a Division I FBS football program and getting television copies of games is something they have quit even trying. They literally DVR all college games on CBS channels to keep in their archives just in case they somehow need that game footage for future opponents, even years out. CBS needs to get their platform up to ESPN and Fox levels.

                            • But even with the transition....

It's not as though we were losing to **** teams!! Louisville, Michigan State are damn near blue blood programs. And OSU is good and played out of their mind.

                              • Rothstein is reading my tweets.:) I've been telling him that this team is a whole different animal with connor hitting 3s.
                                He tweeted this:
Conner Frankamp is 12-20 from 3-point range in his last five games. Has been a different player since Gregg Marshall moved him off the ball.
